NASCAR Canadian Tire series confirms a pair of race dates for 2008
The NASCAR Canadian Tire series will be returning to Barrie Speedway for two more spectacular shows in 2008. The series rolls in Saturday June 28 for the Canada Day weekend, and again on Saturday September 7 for the Fall Automotive Flea Market weekend.
I think its great that we got both of our dates back as well as the schedule is starting to be put together and announced. NASCAR seems to have it together this year unlike last year where teams were really getting anxious to find out the schedule...good job NASCAR...looks from this that the schedule will nto be seeing much change!
teams are beeing told that not much will change, except maybe the molson indy toronto added to the sched. i think they are way ahead of the game this year and have more time to seek out sponsors for races. it sure would be nice to get race city back in the loop, that is a huge market and we are missing out on potential support there. anyway have a good one. #21 jason white

just looking at a calendar isn't it saturday september 6 i think the 7th is the sunday.

The races have been on Sundays before. This year it was a Saturday ngiht, but the Canada Day one was Sunday...so maybeit is not a typo.
the september race was excellent. I think I will go to both of them next year! it is good that they have solidified these 2 dates very ealry. It would be nice to round up some big paying sponsors for the event! now they may have some time to accomplish this. Have you ever seen the payouts? it's ridiculous! they should be much higher given the cost of competing in the series
