Well night 1 in the books and I'm happy to report that two of my three points championship picks won their respective features. π ..And yes I fully realize that one night does not mean a hill of beans in the big picture, but its always good to get the season kick started with a solid point night..
The 09 of Curry was a bit of an opening night disappointment after running well in his first heat.. Something went wrong in that 2nd heat for him for sure, as evidensed by Dean electing to start scratch in the feature...
For the top 3 in season end point standings::
Lates -- 1st - Ron Quesnelle, 2nd Gord Shepherd, 3rd Al Inglis..
Hard to leave the Gaunt car out if its there for the full season but this top 3 will be tough to crack..
Thunders -- 1st Rick Walt, 2nd Thayne Hallyburton, 3rd Jim Belesky..
The ultimate wild card division I have to pick what I think is the fastest car I've seen on track to date..
Pure Stocks -- 1st Dean Curry, 2nd John Mitchell, 3rd Jim MacDonald..
Again the fastest car I think in this class with an expierienced and patient wheel man... Hard to beat that combo..
Spot on for late models Dave, well done haha, too bad I can't say the same for your Pure Stock picks π
