They were supposed to give us a scoring tower, which we haven't seen..not another flag stand
The late models are the show, don;t forget...they need to be catered too more than us...I understand that...so I don't have the problem oyu do with it.
Again I think representation of the drivers to the track is the best way to resolve problems. Everyone yelling and complaining in the tech shed obviously is not the answer. I have always found that when presented properly, and when there is a majority, those in the position to actually effect change listen better. I need to hear from drivers on the idea. I know there are lots of issues with the track out there, but we have to start at the beginning. Change is not an easy thing to effect, but when we stand together, we could effect change more effectively. What is being done now is not working.....
I don't think the Late Models are THE show, they are a big part of the show however. No Thunders or 4 cylinders, no show and going the other way no Late Models, no show. The LM are harder to set up and more sensitive to changes too. And specials are important as well. I would like to see more practice dates, and on different days. I thought they were going to post a flagman in the tower that exists in 1 and 2?
Controversy....track management and officials need to get it together. No wonder the car count is down. Drivers can't afford the continual weekly repairs due to the the lack of or poor officiating. You can have as many officials as you want but if they are all watching the same area of the track at the same time during the race they will miss a lot. Each official has to be responsible for a different section of the track during the race so they can see and know what is really happening. If they want to watch the races .. sit in the stands. There is a black flag for a reason. Lets start using properly when required.
I haven't been to Barrie for a few weeks but I noticed that the car count and fan count are way down.
I have been to a lot of other tracks ... Sunset being one of them. They have an amazing car count and fan count. Must be doing something right. Officiating and proper use of the black flag seem to work.
well we ahd an almost rain out last night with the Barrie fair on and theOSS at Sunsset...and the stands were pretty full...so we arent that bad....last weekend we had almost as my thuners as susnet, more LLM's and less 4 banger (we have always had less 4 bangers) I thinkt he fans thing is unfounded as i ahve seen lot sof fulll crowds..like last weekend...it was packed...
