That's ok, people have lives. I think the first thing I should do is take a census at the track of drivers to see if they would even be interested in something like this. I am sure that if the majority of the drivers were behind this it might actually come to be. If the drivers don't want it, it won't even get off the ground, and it would be a waste of time.
I seem to remember Brad and Steve telling the Pure Stock drivers in a meeting that they would be putting a flag tower up again down the backstretch. What the heck happened to that idea? I think they said that on the sec. or third night of racing roughly. Maybe if this had been done they would have had a better view of the track instead of it coming to this. If complaints are heard in the drivers meetings and nothing is being done about things. Slaughter keeps mentioning the black flag in almost every meeting (Flagman is also present for this) then the Flagman gives his speech about respecting other drivers and he will use it. But still we come back to this post. If they aren't listening to drivers in the meetings would they listen to an association. Would you all not race one night if they did not meet the needs of the drivers?? Not sure about other tracks but they sure seem to cater more to the Late Model guys than the other classes (shorter practice sessions for Thunders and Pure Stocks). The Pure Stock and Thunders need just as much time to set there cars up and see how they will behave in the Heat races. And I'm not picking on Late Model drivers in any way here. I have seen where a Pure Stock goes out for single car practice and get five laps and then a Late Model goes out and gets ten laps.
