$600.00 for exhaust? Is it gold plated???

Ever had a front to back exhaust system built? Carline is even more....close to 800.

what kind of an idiot would spend $600-800 on an exshaust system for a car in a class that pays $400? To win?!?! The problems with the cost of thundercars getting out of hand can be easly found LOOK IN THE F@&#+%G MIRROR!! I would be embarassed to admit that. Go buy some cheap mandrel U bends and build it yourself! Isn't that what this is all about? Get out some tools and a welder and use all your god-damn catalogs to get the woodstove going in the shop this winter. When did being a gearhead turn into being a bunch of credit card wielding parts assemblers? The pioneers of all forms of motorsports would be rolling over in their graves if they could see this. I remember reading an interview with Bill Burows after his retirement and he said when he started racing you never spent more on a car than you could win in a night, my how we've lost our way.

In my opinion the purse money is way too low, but the cost is getting out of hand. If the cars were policed a little better in tech and hard penalties given to offenders you wouldn't have guys stepping over the limits and forcing others to follow suit just to keep the pace. a gear rule, a tranny rule and a sealed motor rule would close the competition up in a hurry and stop guys from spending close to 10K on motors. Like I said in a previous post though, you'd have to slowly push the 602 into the division within 2 years so that people can save for one and just run with what they have for now. If they did this, The class would probably end up being saved at Barrie at least. But all tracks would then have to follow suit otherwise it would be short lived triumph. I would hate to see this class get dumped for a slower 8 cylinder division just to attract some more cars for the fans to watch.

My exhaust has a lot of elements i would never have thought of, like tabs for easy assembly/ disassembly and the welds are perfect...you can say what you want, but why dont you come over to our shop ANY night all winter...you will fid us working on it ourselves...there are finite things i let the people that do good work, do for me and that is one of them.....I can say this without a doubt...all summer there is no one that works harder on their race car than us....i am sure many work just as hard however...

You can be the loud, name calling finger pointer if you wish....its no skin off my back.....I tell people that I am a part of the money spending problem....but if you don't buy tires and experiment with rebuilding shocks you will have a lot of trouble going fast. it costs money now-a-days...especially when everyone else is spending it...this winter wont be nearly as bad money wise with my motor and car in one piece instead of needing clips front and back...

Dave Wiggins did mine this spring, assembly tabs, proper x pipe, welds, length of pipe considered, the real deal...........at 400 bucks it is and sound like a steal........

he did use my old Cherry bombs however.  I understand both points however, cant afford it, but had to spend it.
