HAHA...whatever would Honda do?!?! Oh wells it promises to be a good show.
All I have to say is sh$t, last night really sucked. A lot of good strong cars got caught up in the first caution one being Marty's car. I just don't understand how week after week one car makes it so hard to race around him not knowing which way he wants to go, or just doesn't go it really sucks. I know that some people take longer to learn but come on, if you can't run up front then go to the back. thats just my opinion. With the owner ship at the track yes things really have gone for a cluster fu@k, but you really can blame the owners because last year when they were first introduced to us we were all told that they have NO clue on how to run a race track and that they were going to put the right people in place that can. Well maybe they need to look at the person they have put in control. I never really knew that the drivers meetings were supposed to sales pitches for the sponsor of the night. I always thought that it was to talk rule or other things that are relevant to the drivers in that division, its a place to let us present questions. When Dave spoke up and presented his question and they all walked around giving him an answer was very disrespectful. He apologised for what he said which was very big of him and the question he had was a good one. I know that coming on here and venting really doesn't help the problems at the track, but there we are really never given the chance to.
Hey Dave my point about thanking the nights sponsor may have been taken the wrong way. I am all for thanking them if you remember to. My point is they seem to stress this EVERY week in the drivers meeting. They have way bigger issues to deal with then who gets thanked. Try addressing your calls, try smoothing over the fact that your dumping the thunders for an outside show, which sounds like 16 cars for 50 laps times 3 = one long night. I hope BSW turns it around. I know there are alot of very good people that put alot of hard work each and every week into this show, but Dave ask yourself this Why do you do it? Because you love it! not because the bottom line is money! Now tell me the the owners love racing more then they love money!
Yes i agree we should speak up and voice our thoughts to the powers that be! but i guess you skipped over the points i made about the BLANK stares!!!!!! they don't want to hear it from us. They seem to frown on anyone that points out their short comings! they threaten to remove a certain team if their owner doesn't keep his mouth shut! where does that leave the rest of us???? Its their sandbox, we merely PAY to come play!
have you raced a car at BSW this year? have you been to a drivers meeting this year? have you had to deal with the BS that the officials and owners have dealt to us time and time again? if these answers are NO then shut up! Go out and get a car pour your money into it drive for two hours to the track and be ready to deal with the surprise calls and crap that goes on EVERY TIME you show up! Ask questions and look for the BLANK stare! then come talk to me!
Yes Two Tyme is the sponsor i am referring to. Both Ron and Dar are sick about the way things have unfolded this year. They spend countless amounts of money at the track and on a boat load of cars, mine included. BSW does not want to lose these people! but i believe the damage is done. Even Mike Brown, he told me he is not interested in running there any more! Ron and Dar are very good people with very big hearts! they maybe the first of many to pack it in! then what? what will they talk about at the drivers meeting? who will they tell us to thank?
So you think coming here and saying something helps?
It is your own fault if you don't speak up you don't get heard as you said nothing. If everyone feels so strongly about it say something about it to the people that own the track.
If a lot of people feel this way don't show up for the next race. Do something about it. Why bash some other series because you got bumped it was the owners that made the choice to do this.
Just my thoughts
actually coming on here is the only way anybody listens to what has to be said. you get NO answers from the track just a stupid look and they can stick their comment cards up their asses, the track is a joke, the 38 should have been trailered and i never saw what caused it but if eddie caused it, black flagged or something. again the officials do nothing and leave it to the drivers, also get rid of the f@#$ing fuzz in the pits and their jokes they call SECURITY! HA! dave asked the same question as rick walt did 3 weeks ago and got the same moronic answer NONE! so if you have a problem at barrie , don't yell at anybody just send a crew member to go punch their face in or smash the shit out of their car, because that obviously is allowed. all i saw in the pits last night was alot of pissed off, had enough crew and fans and drivers. new owners or not , there IS a huge problem here. Marty, couldn't have said it better brother! one good night last week brought a smile to everyones face but now it's back to the shit!
Wow, with the problems at Barrie AND Sunset this year it might be time to build an new oval at Georgian Downs!
I hope one or the other track owners opens their eyes and sees how they are destroying racing around here. The drivers ARE the show and pissing them off isn't smart.
Mark
