IMO, saturdays are traditional race nights. fridays would flop for sure! there is enough cars out there for both if one of the tracks gets its shit together. 😉
You need to look outside of your own area a bit. Some of the most successful weekly short tracks on the continent run on Fridays. Williams Grove Speedway in Pennsylvania is one.
If you want to look a bit more locally, Ohsweken Speedway drew good car and fan counts on Fridays last season, and Delaware has run Fridays successfully for many years.
Anytime a poll like this is answered there are always going to be reasons why yes or why no. Thus the multiple answer scenario.
The reason I suggest it's not sufficient is that given the answers, BSW would "LOSE" cars running on a Friday night, not gain. I had nothing to do with a 'majority' vote (which is what you've based your conclusions on...)
If BSW were to run on Friday nights, based on the poll results shown so far, I would suggest car counts would drop further from what they are now.
i think the best thing to do is for barrie to try a few friday shows and see what happens. taking an online poll will tell you nothing. kawartha runs fridays with decent car count, but seems like it is hard to draw fans. try it out, if it does not work then continue with saturdays, nothing ventured, nothig gained.
If people do not go to BSW on a friday night as it stands now what do they actually do ? Stay home ? does anybody know ? That is where the crowd will have to come from.
I really do not get the response to the question in the poll too tired from working all week. Does that refer to the driver or crews. A possible solution if it is crews, a pool of trained members might be made availble in some way to draw on. For example you want to travel, your car is ready, but short handed with crew to help out with the slugging.Possibly an advanced crew is available wherever you go. Just a suggestion.
