I agree they need to keep a set of rules locked in for at least 5 years. I am one of those guys that dumped lots of cash into my car over the last few years just to get to the front. See I bought into the crate motor rule 4years ago, where did that get me? at the back trying to not get lapped. That first year we thought we had done the right thing go the way the track wants the class to go, looks like things changed and quick, I ran that motor for 3years until we couldn't run it any more. Now over those first 3years I tried everything that I could to get the car to the front, new shocks (proshocks) every year, changed gears all the time, finally we started to make gains but nothing major. At the start of this year my parents(who own my car) said no matter how much it costs we will run up front. So off to Billy Howard to get a motor, went and seen Gord Sheppard for a lot of chassis work, new shocks(QA1), springs, bushing, the whole nine yards. And guess what it went to the front, not every night but it was running up front. I guess what I'm trying to say is I have seen it from both sides, its not fun running in the back all the time and it does cost a lot to run up front, they need to leave the rules alone let all the other teams catch up. Its a lot more fun when 10 cars can fight for a win on any given night not just 5. Thunder cars or Super Stocks are by far the best racing at any track on any given Saturday night, don't kill it grow it, I don't see why track owners/promoters can't sit down and hash out a set of rules that EVERYONE can agree with. Will you get more cars ?? who knows but at least everyone will be on the same page, all tracks should work as ONE.

Jim makes such a good PRINCE I would hate to see him become a PRESIDENT. Besides, a president only last for 4 years. One of the most colourful drivers in our sport becoming a president it is just not right. HIS MAJESTY, MR. JIM BELESKEY,( THE POLISH PRINCE ) now that is the man we all want to see. Hail to the PRINCE.

PS.  Now if one was to say KING JAMES that would be a different story It has a very nice ring to it, after all he is the king at Barrie Speedway.

thanks zero :-[ lol. maybe you just hit the nail on the head. one representitive voted in by his peers from each track. then they all get together and hash out some rules and govern ourselves that way! if the promoters don't have the time, then we'll do it. i would even give up driving to dedicate myself to this. its that important and needed. bring back challengers which alot of us are and let the guys still running a real thundercar have their division. there is alot of cars out there that either dont meet the current thunder rules and don't even race because they can't be competitive and lots of cars that are just a tad above todays thunders that could easily become challengers. now is the time for change and lets get all those cars out of the barn and back on the track. THEY ARE THERE, i know of many and so do all of you. feedback would be appreciated! i'll start a new topic for this!
