Marty, again I am not trying to be personal on here, I don't even know who you are to run into you face to face.
I am well aware of your support for this class. I am well aware that you are out having fun.

Point is there were many drivers who thought the registering at a track cause you liked their rules package (your words, not mine) and showing up at different tracks running these rules, was circumventing the spirit of the rules and the division. Therefore taking prize money away from the guys who legitimately had a home track that they raced regularly.

That being said, Kuddos to you for working between the lines to benefit yourself, but it is a product of there being too many different sets of rules out there for thunders now, which was my whole point to start with.

Again, I AM NOT BEING PERSONAL AND HAVE ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING AGAINST YOU!!!! my problem lies with the management who allows it.  and again trying to support my arguement for no more rule changing untill the class replenishes itself and evens out again.

And BTW yes I am just a fan right now as I have not raced in a bit, but I did full time for over 10 years and have full intentions of going out again. So Just cause I am a self described "fan" does not mean I have not a clue.....

first off marty does have talent, i know this because him and i have battled side by side many times and never touched paint. if i was going to run just specials and there is nothing wrong with that, seeing most drivers don't even support their own tracks invi's. i would definately pick the best rule package and register there. believe me marty sure as hell isn't the first and won't be the last! i wish that all these tracks could come up with a standard set of rules for the whole province. it would be a great division and then everyone would be on the same playing field. i believe barrie was the track to deviate from a very close rule package province wide when coates took over. he didn't want his cars legal for any other track, essentially holding us hostage. hence the snowball effect! we need someone to write a set of rules that can include everyone without a major wallet hit and LOCK IT DOWN! it can be done!

Very well put Jim. We all (most of us anyways I think) would love to see a common set of rules, but when push comes to shove I think many would have a problem with the give and take that is a MUST if this is to ever happen. I'd imagine that "our rules are the best and YOU should adopt ours" way of thinking will be be the biggest hurdle to jump over with both the racers and the tracks. I race at Kawartha, there it seems that the attitude is run what ya brung, little if any teching, all that matters is that the fans see a good race, and we've got some stuff on our cars that realy could be done without.  I very willing to give some up and take in others if it's in the name of the greater good of racing (It will be a cold day in hell before I'm told I HAVE to change my body lol)

Let's get on this people, I'm ready.

i really believe that with the proper effort and cooperation between tracks that thundercars could be the biggest division to watch in a long long time. people love them now, could you imagine a thundercar road course invi at mosport. too cool!
