Marty I must apologize, my response was not  meant to sound that personal.  My main point ( better explained, I hope), is that the Thunder class was one of the best in Canada. Then along came the "next gen", and although i see the reasoning behind it, it was not well thought out being the center of gravity was soo much lower, and firewall mods etc. Limiting these to a crate was ok i guess, but then what happens??? big money shows up with a built motor in a next gen......Guess what now its legal, leaving everyone else to spend major dough to catch up.

To me that wasn't the majority of drivers wanting it, it was management not sticking to their rules that got them there and allowing it to turn into the guy with the biggest wallet.......He knew the rules when he built that car.

IMO it turned a stellar division that was competitive everywhere into a free for all. All I am saying is draw a line and stop changing the rule book every year costing guys a boatload more money.

I would like to know what "antics" This redneck guy has scene from me??? and better yet who he is??? maybe i missed something somewhere, he doesnt know me yet he knows my budget and my antics......i must admit i am curious!

Redneck guy, I know where you are coming from, all i am saying is, for every guy out there that wants to keep thundercars affordable and rules in check there are 5 guys that think give me more and i will win. Not True.... Jim and Thanye....Floaters with disk's....money Pit!  Yes you CAN make them work without a duel master setup....thats the easy part. Are they faster? NOPE! Safer? YUP....Cheaper? maybe in the LONG run! Unlimited Cam....GO for it! Varney allows it, but you are limited to that crappy tire (790) sauble allows it, but no header....If Barrie gives it to you, great> Wont help one bit at that track....I show up with my "cheated" up varney legal car to sunset, all i can smell is burnt rubber.....give me the recap and maybe! there is sucha thing as too much, its a fine line. Thunders are limited to one thing....TIRES!

BTW the antics I refer to, correct me if I am wrong, but it was my understanding that you dont actually have a home track, but registered at the tracks rules that fit best and travelled around to all different shows?
Now If I am wrong, again I apologize, but that info came from a number of Thunder drivers at the time that looked at it as comming in with different rules than everyone else and taking their cash.....

Now it doesn't really mean anything to me since I am only a fan, but this is what I have been told. Please enlighten me if I missed something..

LOL, who's Cash did i take? Maybe it was lack of Talent on my part?!?....I did claim Varney as a home track. Why? well i like the rules there.....Unlimited cam, headers, floater, and so on....BUT!!!!! Hoosier 790 tire! SO what did i gain? where did i beat everyone? I KNOW what i have motor wise, Yet there are 602's that drive right by me?!?!?!!

I signed up at Varney, cause i liked the motor package and figured hell, i am only going to run a handfull of races, so i want to run headers and a big cam! I DONT want to run that crappy tire. But we did! AND WHO DID I BEAT?.....does the car look fast? does it sound fast?? is it fast??? YUP! But who did i beat? I couldnt finish a race this year! Ill prepared? bad luck? no talent? sure! did i have fun?????? YUP! I traveled and spent my $ at any track that would have me. I traveled a MIN of 2hrs to go have fun and put on a show. Am i ruining the thundercar class.....NOPE, i am supporting it by running in it!

Again, my home track is (was) Varney. I paid my $120 bucks to register. I ran maybe 6 races...won a feature (all be it only 5 cars were in it) passed tech, and wow even finished 8th in the points! BUT i travelled and supported sauble and sunset and flamboro.......SO if those "antics" are so terrible, then yes i am wreckin the thundercar division....BUT i will tell you this, ITs one thing to spend your time and money and try to help the show, and its another to be a fan and chirp off about how the guys that put the show on are ruining things!.....All tracks need fans! and EVERYONE is entitled to their opinion! BUT.....NO ONE makes anyone do or spend anything on this sport that they dont wanna spend!
