People aren't alway full out cheating, they may be playing the foggy parts of the rule book, and they are not going to come and race at a facility that has fines when we do this for fun and not for a profession, to pay additional money to the track if they are caught illegal. Besides it depends on when you go through tech, some people get away with things and are told have it fixed by next week and others get dq'ed for the same thing. How far would that be person xy got a fine but i just got a warning (nah nah nah). How would you feel if it was you?
If they are fully purchasing a cheating motor, it should be able to be caught in tech (and it will only be a matter of time before they are), the only instance that I know of for sure was the 44 & 4 pure stock who refused to tear down and left the track. If you want it changed why don't you apply to be a tech person, i hear there is a job opening? I don't know why anyone would want it, cause they get treated like crap and I am sure the pay matches.
I don't agree with them firing Joe....I think he tried very hard and put in a huge effort and did research some issues, but i don't think they should have hired him in the first place. He was a driver, he knew everyone already and he could (i say could) have had favorites or enemies. I don't think he is like that though. I don't think that his daughter has help at all with this situation, both with her conduct and the track and her mouthing off here and according to my kids on facebook. She should be keeping her insults and opinions to herself if her father is part of the track staff. Not that she don't have the right to her opinion but she needs to keep it quiet. I know as an employer that i would not be very impressed with the conduct she shows. I alway find Joe's son to be very helpful and does not bad mouth anyone. Kudos to him.
