So points are based on the car number and not the driver?

A track that allows a 4 year old in the pit area? Walking Around?

Never heard of any track doing this for insurance reasons.

CRO, the rule is you may have two sub drivers during a season...to run you Car or your number...this allows guys to go to weddings, holidays or whatever...without losing points for having a life.... i like the idea.......and i dunno about 4 year olds....

Yes my 4 year old son is allowed in the pit as he is my crew chief these kids will be the next drivers so keeping them interested is important as we enjoy working on car together. I have enjoyed racing at Barrie these past two weeks may be back later in season. Other tracks do allow kids in the pit and that will be where I will be. You should see him racing in the next few years as well. Racing is not just a hobby any more with all the commitments that are made ( sponsors, money, time) so with most racers I know it's a lifestyle that includes the whole family. It's sounds off but if the parents do there job and make to be minded off where they are young kids should never be a problem. I've been in the pit since I was old enough I was the car builder I could load truck and trailer and lived to race with my dad but then I had to watch from the other side of the fence. Ill bet Jeff Gordon or any other top racer was in the pit with his dad.
