First in the interest of being objective..SCT sponsors a LLM car in the field and if you don't know which car YOU PAY TOO MUCH.!!!
Anyways week #1 10 and 48 win the features ....then week 2 they finish 1 2 in both features.
LOW and BEHOLD DQ'd in Feature #2. According to a previous topic post by Blackflaagin.. gas tanks an inch too low. So I don't know the FACTS for DQ.
Well Were they were ok in feature #1 and then DQ in #2...
Wonder if they would have finished 5th and 6th in 2nd feature if they would be DQ,
The better question is were they "illegal" in feature #1 and WARNED and did nothing or even better were both cars illegal already opening night.
JUST ASKING. SCT
Are you really suggesting that
a) 1" lower on the cell will transform the car/cars into bullets which can and will destroy all other cars?
and
b) That Shepherd AND Baker knew that they were illegal and would have deliberately thrown the race had they a sniff that cell heights were tech'ed?
For your information the cell heights were NOT 1" too low, so your information is incorrect. I won't tell you what the actual measurements were because it's not your business, you can make that your mission. Also I'm guessing you weren't there to see Dwayne lose his mind for being DQ'd in a brand new car built to run inside the rulings. That doesn't really smell like a guilty guy caught with his hands in the cooky jar does it? Shepherd, while upset with the situation remained seemingly comforted by the fact that it WAS Baker who got stripped of his points, being that Baker is the only real threat to the 10 team.
As to your "better question"... You clearly have no idea of how Baker and/or Shepherd treat rules and regulations. Your inference that they were illegal and "knew it" or that they were warned but chose to ignore it just illustrates how much of your rant is sour grapes and nothing more. I'm sorry that "Your car" isn't doing so well, but perhaps you should direct your disappointment at your car/crew/engine builder/driver instead of throwing mud at anything conveniently to hand.
Rules are rules and being DQ'd for an infringement sucks but neither the 48 or the 10 car will return without having fixed the problem and you know what, it won't make a piece of difference to their performance.
This year is going to be the Baker & Shepherd show, get used to it.
Truthsayer... live by your name.. and state the truth aboth the DQ. NOT my job!!! I said I was asking based upon other posters comments NOT fact.
Reread my post. I didn't say Gord or Dwayne cheated! I asked when their cars were illegal and when they knew. There is a different between cheating and a car being illegal by error or accident.
My comments may in fact be more critical of officials than competitors.
Competition is great (14 -15 LLM cars) as long as the playing field is level.
Hey, rules expert..like to make a comment about last year's shock discussion and who didn't want to follow the rules as agreed amongst teams earlier in season.
Also, check my post in regards to the 47/48 Sunset debate. I wasn't a 48 basher. In fact, I had no argument about how I had seen him run at BS last season.
Also, I give full marks to Gord running both NASCAR tracks in Ontario last year.

Why don't you ask Gord or Dwayne when you see them at the track next Saturday, considering that's who your " question " is directed to?
I don't think there's much point in back pedaling now, your opinion is perfectly clear as were your comments. You have declared that you are of the mind that the fuel cell issue boosted the two cars to the front of the pack, you weren't even subtle about it.
There are people who try to circumvent rules by fair means or foul. I just take exception to anyone jumping on the wagon by calling cheater when they lose to a faster car/driver combo which fails tech for minor infractions. It's a widely accepted fact that many of the tech regulations relate to measurements or requirements which have little or no effect on performance in the real world but merely exist to ensure a continuity across the classes.
Your rhetorical question about whether the cars were 'legal' the previous week is just fanning your fire. I think it fairly obvious that both cars were the same the previous week, unless Gord and Dwayne got together and conspired to redesign the [new] rear clips on both cars, so what's your point?
240racer is right, but if there is One thing to ask it's why there wasn't a grace period extended to the drivers on this issue, not only that was the second week of the year, but also because neither team built their chassis. It's not like getting pulled up for low weight or percentages.. All you can do it buy a legal part off the shelf, at what point does the driver/owner start to doubt what's written on the box?
Last week a car was found to have an incorrect wheelbase measurement but as it was within the unofficial 2 week grace period time was given to allow a fix to be implemented.
Let us also not forget that the previous week there was the laborious Tech session for every car. This is when the tech team should have been making base chassis measurements of this type instead of arbitrarily deciding to do it later in the season unless there was some kind of unofficial complaint/tipoff/suggestion about one of the cars and the second car was collateral damage? Or perhaps a Port City Hater got lucky and took down both LOL???
