Dont take this in the wrong way but barrie needs to do something about the racing. its boring just watching single fill racing. like no one is allowed to bump or rub if they do there in trouble. And i noticed two weeks ago when stands were pretty full at the begining of the night and by the late models second feature people started to get up and leave. Like thats not right they want to see some action and the drivers arent allowed to do it. I think it should be like nascar drivers have at it. To a point that is. bring back the good old short track racing. Because right now it suxs we pay 25 bucks to get in we want our money worth it.

...
I guess RACING will "never be like it was" at Barrie. Imagine 24 LM's for a Feature OR a 100 lapper and they usually had less CAUTIONS than they have now with way fewer cars and BTW you had to Qualify for Feature on any Saturday night .......... Most of you guy's don't even know what good racing is !

i totally agree don! old school racing is the way to go, this political correctness and trying not to offend anyone BS is for the birds. heated moments and down out rivalries fill the stands .....point blank! Oh no!! a 13 year old might see a little dust up here and there. then they go home and sit on the computer blowing peoples heads off on a video game for 8 hrs. come on folks, lets get back to what made this sport what it was, a bunch of hot headed rednecks racing their balls off! just my opinion!

jim, glad to see some one else who would like to see old style short track racing. you do not have to go out and wreck other racer`s to get excitement level back up , just some good rubbing and a few chrome horns in the corner will work just fine. you know, if most tracks where to have a poll from the fan`s perspective i think the answer from the majority would be a have at it type race. and to blackflagagain, not suggesting that barrie has a problem as far as beer tent, in my opinion no race track, or sports venue for that matter should be selling booze period! as said before, if track owners want to make racing a family venue then why the beer tent. what kind of message are you sending to kids? just my opinion dave,

Racecar drivers for the most part do not wreck each other. they may bump a little bit. This is due to the fact that drivers and teams spend oodles of cash to race and they respect their competitors because they know the other teams spend oodles of money to race too.

Not trying to be smart, but you would respect clean racing a little more if you got behind the wheel of a racecar drove 100 Mph going into the corner door handle to door handle without touching another car for an entire race. It takes talent and patience. That's balls out racing in my opinion.

Dave is right about the high groove not being the greatest when it is hot outside. That's part of the reason they play follow the leader during long green flag runs. Everyone holds the bottom and it is hard to pass and nobody wants to wreck another car or take a risk of being sent to the back for spinning another car. It's a fine line. If they could more progressively bank that track it would make for some amazing racing. It's almost a one lane track most nights but I still love the challenge it brings.
