I could think of at least a half dozen cars from the Charger division that would be competitive in Pure Stock A last year including yourself Charger... You probably would of seen the Stieler boys, Burtoo, Crystal Doucette, Billy, Chris King, and Chris Free all move up anyways. And other guys like Heighington, Tompkins, and Burney all have another year under their belt and should be able to compete competitively as well.
yes a half dozen charger cars would have been competitive,but there were 20 of us on a regular night what about the other 14 that are now going to be b feature fodder and or getting run over by much more experienced yet less forgiving drivers. you watched all season blkflagagain the respect was not always there in the a div. add some slower cars to that mix and........
you get the picture. not knocking ya dave just a different veiw point.

(edit) btw it wasent the charger heats that took all the time we usually went green to checkers and the features were good untill the end of the year.
what Dave means by the time thing is that now u have less heats and a shorter feature B's are usually 6 laps.... that alone will cut time down..now u do 2 heats of 12-15 like before... or 3 of 10 if necessary...either way less races...
I 100% agree with Charger. and 50% with Dave and Thayne. We were moving up this year. We think that it was time to move to a faster more compete class. But, there are still some that are not. This class was a good tool for training the future Thunder or LM driver. They don't learn about set up, but they learn how to conduct themselves in racing conditions. I learned in a bomber car. We had $300.00 invested in that old chevelle, and there wasn't anybody with much more track time. We all got in each others way. By mixing the two classes, I think there will be a lot of time spent on cautions. :-

Thats rediculous. I never liked the charger feature that was only 15 laps. Now slower cars will have a 6 lap feature. That would be enouph to get me to another track if i was one of the slower cars that would be in the B's quite often. Its just no fun when you only get two heats and a 6 lap feature
