i'm so glad they dropped the sunset tire idea, they are junk and way too expensive.

Last I heard Sunset was considering "Hoosier". I assumed that to mean the 780, the new ones not the retreads.

If thats what you are calling junk and expensive, you are way off. $135 each WITH TAX the price you pay, and they don't de-tread. I don't want to hit the wall hard because I saved 15 bucks on a retread.

Ross all I'm going to say is you're lucky it's the season for giving!!! LOL  the "Track Master" re-tread is a far better tire and is $45 cheaper per tire!!  Cheaper ,Wider, better compound, better tread patern  oh yes you're right Ross lets throw it away!! I haven't heard of many de-treading at all,  and the best part was the vote was a landslide nobody wanted (and I mean nobody) the "780" Hoosier it's  not as good of tire!!!  you need to stick to KD and Mosport we like our rules up here just fine!!  Please Santa bring Ross that beautiful girft we discussed!!!

NO I know they are not opening a complete motor sports forum.

I think what happened with one owner might scare others off but just because one had a different way of handling and it didn't turn out the way they wanted or thought it should doesn't mean it is bad for all tracks. People know on here that not everything your read on here is true or a fact. I also feel it's a good tool for them as I don't think people are going to tell the owners what they truly think without feeling it might hurt them running at that track.

I heard some say they were looking at every part of their cars in the tech area because of what they said on here. I have been told that is not the case and people want to stir things up so it was posted. Some did take heat for what they said but then again that was one track owner and he chooses to do what he thought was right and everyone knows what happened. End of story on that one.

Everyone learned there lesson this year, including me. I still think the forums are a great support tool for the tracks. Maybe I'm wrong and if the track owners want to send me emails go ahead I'm always looking for the feedback maybe it is too much to have a forum for each track maybe cut back to a forum called tracks and that way it doesn't highlight good and bad things people want to talk about a track?

I think about all that has happened and not one owner has asked me to remove the forum for their track. Maybe one but I don't think they asked me to remove the forum maybe messages posted in it.

I don't think the Barrie owners are setting up a forum like this one. He just said it would be a direct link to the owners, more like a suggestion box. Jim said he would for sure read every post. I know the owners used to check this site at the beginning of the year, but the way there year started off & the stuff said on here, I think they got a little scared off.

On the topic I knew that the Late Model meeting would have some fireworks & it didn't disappoint, kinda funny to watch if you ask me..lol

😉 my turn, no chargers for this year is going to hurt some of the people who are just starting out in racing just as no more 4funs at sunset is going to hurt their initial car counts.
in the 1 1/2 year i ran chargers it was a lot of fun, good people runnig for just that fun. i was contiplating moving up to the "a" div this year so i guess my disision was made for me, i think we will just have to see what happenes. for you 16v guys next year is when they are planning to bring you into the fold. i think they will be waching the outlaw class at sunset to see how it takes off. i for 1 will miss the charger div. and hate to see its demise it was a good place to learn the ropes of stock car racing with other people who were also learning or just out for fun

All in all I think it was the right decision to go back to one 4cyl class on the basis it will speed the show up a fair bit and there isnt really the necessesity for the two seperate divisions based on car count. I could think of at least a half dozen cars from the Charger division that would be competitive in Pure Stock A last year including yourself Charger... You probably would of seen the Stieler boys, Burtoo, Crystal Doucette, Billy, Chris King, and Chris Free all move up anyways. And other guys like Heighington, Tompkins, and Burney all have another year under their belt and should be able to compete competitively as well.
