I had sent any e-mail out to Jim at the first of the month with a few questions in it. One was about racing on Sundays, just thought I would share that part of the e-mail with you all. Plus the earlier they call the race the better I don't like sitting around all day waiting to see if we are racing or not so to get the call before noon is great.

We’ve taken a look at Sunday events a few times. We tried Wednesday nights last year and a Sunday for the invitational (which was a gorgeous day, weather wise). Both were a disaster from a fan standpoint. No one came. We lost tens of thousands of dollars racing on those days. Without fans in the stands, there is no money to be able to pay out the $12,000 plus of prize money, plus the cost of staff, officials, insurance, security, food costs, sanctioning fees, etc.

Believe me, no one wants to race more than us. With 2 rainouts already, we’ve already lost 10% of our revenue potential for the year. And after the horrible year we had last year, we can’t afford to be able to race on days (Sundays) where we know we’re going to lose money. If you have any magic solutions to that problem, I’d love to hear them.

Not to bash anyone but with all the radio ads I have heard you would think that they could just run some for Sunday events, post on the web site make announcements at the track on Saturdays things like that. Just sitting back letting it all go makes no sense to me, you have to spend money to make money. I know that it is easy for me to say I have no financial involvement with the track but that's what I would be doing to make it work.
