151 of 309 is a crazy number of caution laps for sure, and yes the drivers are a bunch to blame, but I wonder, and maybe I am wrong, I don't know, I wonder if maybe the officials couldn't have been a little more into it.  12-15 caution laps to sort out and reorder a 1 car spin that caused no damage?? Or the times that clean up was needed, could not all of the clean up crew in the back of the truck not get out to help?? Maybe it would have saved 15 or 20 laps total, but it all adds up...It being my first NCATS experience live, I still came away extremely pleased overall, so much so that I have rearranged my Velocity 250 weekend schedule, to skip over to Kawartha on the 24th to take in the last NCATS event of the year, and hopefully get back in time to get a good nights rest in preparation for the Sunday portion of the Velocity 250.

Just the thoughts (right or wrong) of 1 fan!  😛

See stuff like this always bugs me.
People who come out and all they do is complain about what they see.

Was there perhaps a few to many cautions?  Yeah.
I found alot of them were single car spin outs and the driver would just sit and wait until the yellow came out.

But people come out complain about everything, then leave before the race even ends and miss the best part.
It's like other times ive been on this forum and talked about how good the NCATS series and then suddenly a bunch of high and mighty late model fans come out and tell me how terrible the NCATS series is.

I usually go to 3-4 NCATS races a year and every time I come away thinking "what a great race"
If your going to criticize at least hang around and watch the whole thing instead of leaving with 100 to go.

I didn't like the number of caution laps either but I still found it a very entertaining race and thought that the Speedway did a very good job with the event.

From where I sat there were a few guys that seemed to be in multiple tangles the 97, 55 and 59 come to mind. It seemed like the double up restarts caused havoc because it took more than one attempt to get things rolling. There were other cautions as well that were spread around between rookies and veterans like Chris Raabe's amazing front stretch 360 in front of half the field where he didn't get hit by anyone, Sheperd losing a wheel, Steckly losing a wheel, Hathway getting turned by Micks, Fitzpatrick getting turned by Micks (sorry no caution there I was just on  a roll :)), McColm got turned once, Thompson got into Kennington setting up that GWC and the big one when Beauchamp had his trouble.

The frustration was how long it took for the officials to get things sorted out and get the field back to green. No comments about back in the day when we didn't have computers upstairs either *lol*.

That said I found a lot of good racing to watch through the field throughout the race. Dilley's charge through the field after having to drop to the back at the start was pretty exciting all on its own.

I think it is a big shot in the arm for Barrie Speedway to have two great events so close to together at the end of the year with the Reynolds 100 lapper and the NCATS race.

The last two NCATS races should be very interesting too.
