RULE CHANGE NOTIFICATION
#2007-23-09
In an effort to enhance the art of motorsport racing and give someone
else a chance at the NEXTEL CUP CHAMPIONSHIP, the governing body of
NASCAR is enacting rule change #2007-23-09, also known as:
"FORD RULE", which states:

1 Regardless of qualifying speeds, all FORDS must start 5 laps down.

2 FORD drivers must be blindfolded, with one arm tied behind back.

3 FORD must use  87 octane fuel and have four flat tires,
  preferably Hoosiers.

4 FORDS shall operate in one gear-REVERSE.

5 FORDS shall carry two passengers, preferably Sumo Wrestlers.

6 During pit stops FORD crews are only allowed one man over the wall.

7 Kurt Busch shall be allowed to bump any car off the track as he
  deems necessary to get to the front.

8 Kasey Kahne shall be allowed to change cars when he blows engines
  or suffers any other damage, and other racers MUST STOP and WAIT so
  Kasey may reenter the race in first place.

9 DITTO to Busch, Newman or any other Dodge drivers.

10 Robby Gordon shall be allowed to run without a restrictor plate as this may be his only shot at winning on an oval.

THESE RULES SHALL TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY AND MAY BE AMENDED AS NECESSARY
