Pinecrest that is about right. We were told to that a crate motor would be around $3200.00 less the oil pan or something close to that. Only thing is I heard that the crate motors were a little more boggier then a built motor in traffic. The crate motors are meant to wind up and stay up. My dad is going to get a motor off Billy Howard for next year when he runs his new generation thundercar. He's been out of the drivers seat for 10 years now but i know he still has the ability to do great cause he's done fairly well in my underpowered 4 cylinder in invitationals over the past couple years.

the thunder crate is the best bang for buck there is, saying that if you are going to build a race motor for thunder billy is a great choice
