So much for running BSW at all this year. I was hoping for a couple of Invitationals for us to give it a try, but hey what do I know?

Check tires???? I'm astonished a Dallas Cowboys fan has the smarts to do that??? FLMAO But hey what do I know... Even that peon T.O had the forsight to jump that sinking ship so whats that tell ya???lol  But getting back to the sched. I'm disappointed, but not suprised at all to see no invitationals this year as last season they were very poorly attended by both drivers and fans.. Lets face it a racetrack is a business and these guys arent in it to lose piss pots full of $$, I would of done the same thing myself. They tried Wed nights with the Pure Stocks, and the most they could draw was 22-24 cars and maybe 200 fans at best.. For the year end Sunday Thunder Car deal 30 cars showed, and only 8 of those were from visiting tracks, and there might of been 400-500 fans, and thats on the generous side.. I know for that Thunder Triple 50s the rules were somewhat restricted so I can understand the lower car count in part, but I still thought it would turn out better.. So they tried both Wed and Sun racing last year and found the fans just wouldnt or couldnt turn out.. What day does that leave?? We all know Fridays wont work with Kawartha and Delaware running that night, and add in the fact alot of cars wont show with the risk of wrecking and buggering up their own Sat night home track standings..I think myself that to run a sucessful invitational you need LM or LLM on the slate or the smart fans just wont show, and to run a big LM/LLM invitational with maybe one of the other divisions featured you better make damn good and sure you have a couple sponsors in place to help out with costs and ensure the purse is big enough that cars will travel to your track. In this recession I just dont think that was the case this season.. Maybe they might try it in 2010 again but after the last few times they tried invites I wouldnt place blame if they didnt either!! This sched. is very home car friendly and with the great field of competitive cars we get at BSW thats not a bad thing in my eyes...All in all a 7/10 grading for me...
