I was thinking the same thing, but according to the ACT press release, the exact opposite occurred, Laperle's team knows they are on probation.

Mike 32:

BINGO! You hit the nail on the head! There can be bumping on the track, wreckin race cars in the wall and fights in the pits but when push comes to shove Urlin wouldn't identify or confirm Laperle's crew, therefore protected him from being thrown out of the series and points. It shows what kind of guy he is I'd say!!

Wesley Motorsports:

Urlin was asked to confirm or identify that it was Laperle's crew and Urlin refused to do that. Curley had no other option than to post what he did on the ACT website!

Ok so the 4 dive bombs into 1 and as a result can't hold it in 2 and almost puts the other guy in the fence. Balls, is what you call it?  Whatever. If I was the 91 I'd be PO'd too.

My biggest fear with this crap is that they're gonna start selling racing on this "bad guy" garbage.

ARE YOU DRUNK Shadowracer?

You can call it what you want, I was there, Urlin did nothing illegal, as it's been said on here by other guys, he beat him clean on the inside in a hard race, (remember most guys can't even run where Urlin did on the track) Laperle lost his temper, lost it in turn 4 and took out the both of them. Video is proof! Then Urlin protects Laperle from being thrown out of the series by Curley. Ya, you call it what you want but the real problem here is that you guys have a vendetta against Urlin and you don't have the knowledge of what really happened at that race. Do you know Laperle phoned Urlin a week after the race and personally congratulated him on his clean driving and thanked him for what he did to protect him from being punished and thrown out of the series, remember Laperle was on probation for some of his crew attacking another driver 2 weeks prior to this incident.  Let's go back to reply number 2 in this thread where laker77 was angry at the assinine comments from idiots mouthing off on here that don't know what actually happened and said.....

"So you condone a group of people beating the crap out of a driver when you do not know the whole story? Watch the you-tube of the incident to see who is at fault. Then come back with your apolegy for such an assine comment. 5 guys pull him from his car when he has nobody there yet to help him and you think this is good? And their driver was the one to cause the wreck. Were you there to see it? I am not condoning his actions at delaware but don't be so quick to judge an incident you have no idea about."

I don't know the whole story but a group of people attacking a driver is just plain wrong and this shouldn't be tolerated at any track.

Yes you have a right to hate a driver but you don't have the right to take action on a driver for what you think he did or didn't do. I hope the track is looking into this and the fans that did this should be charged with assult.

This is a really sad that our sport has come to this but I know it's just a few bad apples but something like this could ruin it for all of us as tracks will just say no fans in the pits.
