Hi all,

I was at St. Eusache at that race and Laker 77 you are 100% right. Before you all mouth off when you don’t know what you’re talking about, learn the facts!  Urlin dominated  that race. He drove the smartest, cleanest and hardest race I’ve seen him run!
The facts: In ACT it is NOT illegal to pass on the inside!  St. Eusache is a short, flat track. There is only one groove to drive, if you drive high your screwed, if you drive low it’s like driving on marbles because the track is so soft and bumpy. (you enter that inside lane “at your own risk”) Only a very few drivers can even attempt to drive on the inside lane let alone pass the leader like he did. He had his car dialed in perfect and his pit crew were quick and efficient.
On lap 298, Urlin had fresh tires and Laperle had maybe 80 laps on his. Urlin had balls, passed Laperle very clean and Laperle clearly just lost his temper!  There are two videos from two different angles and if you watch them you will clearly see Laperle bump Urlin all the way down the back straightaway, into third  and finally, stuff Urlin in the wall coming out of 4. Laperle  showed definite proof of the phrase “a crazy Frenchmen” lol  Laperle should have been punished for what he did but it was the last race, he is the track favourite and no one has ever been able to beat him before. While I don’t agree with everything Urlin does, I was very impressed with him and his ability as a driver.

As for the fight after the race, I was impressed again with Urlin, he held his own, he in NO way deserved to be jumped by 5 crazy Frenchmen. That was just plain wrong! All he ended up with, was a  scratch on his face and when I got there, there were two big guys getting up off the ground. Urlin was wired! Never seen him like that. There were literally hundreds of people that came up to him and shook his hand congratulating him on the race, one of whom was “Tom Curley” president of ACT! The ACT site states “if Urlin knew who these people were that attacked him there would be punishment for their actions”  Funny thing is Urlin knew exactly who these guys were. He refused to identify them to Tom Curley, he knew there would have been  fierce punishment for their driver and crew. That’s a huge thing to do and he remained professional during the whole time. Although he doesn’t always look like it if you get to know him, he is one class act!

Morale to the story: Only believe half of what you hear and a quarter of what you read unless you see it with your own eyes, only then do you know the truth!

Maybe Urlin is changing his ways after the "Delaware Incident"  😉 Having said that I don't see anything wrong from watching the posted video with what Urlin did. Looked like hard but clean aggressive driving. No attempt to take out the other car just racing hard for the win on the last couple laps. In fact coming to the white it wasn't Urlin that took them both out but the other car. Can't say what actions happened during the rest of the race as I wasn't there but the video is pretty clear. I say this as someone that is NOT an Urlin fan.

You're right, that's the way it should be! You didn't listen tho, the attackers were not all fans, there were some crew members involved!

So you condone a group of people beating the crap out of a driver when you do not know the whole story? Watch the you-tube of the incident to see who is at fault. Then come back with your apolegy for such an assine comment. 5 guys pull him from his car when he has nobody there yet to help him and you think this is good? And their driver was the one to cause the wreck. Were you there to see it? I am not condoning his actions at delaware but don't be so quick to judge an incident you have no idea about.
