Dont do it!!! they won't Pay you anyways!!!!!

Well, I took the time to talk to someone from the track, the information I have is we are welcome to come we just have to comply to Varney rules or make sure to bring enough weight that the track can even you up if you don't. It is a points nite for there classes so that only makes it fair. I am pretty sure they wont be turning any latemodels away.

If you have not tried Varney in awhile or especially since the reconfigured the back straight give it try. I ran up there last year for every special and rain night from Flamboro and was well taken care of. The have maid some very good changes including removing two drivers from the last years mini line up that caused a lot of people grief.

I cant speak for Monte72 but I was well taken care of every time in the pay envelope and treated fairly but the track team, tech, officials, and competitors.

I can only speak for the mini class but if you wanna test of your skills Hartmen, Toltons, Cremescos, Lovell, and Mast etc are some of the best drivers in the province in the stockfour division and will all keep you on your toes. With Sunset, Barrie, Flamboro, Oshweken, Merritville all having off night would be interesting to see who shows up.

Talk to the track give the a call and see what you need to do to run there on Sunday. I am making the trip for Sunday and most likely Saturday.

They have a great track and new management team there that sounds willing to work with drivers, I hope it holds true. Goodluck racers and enjoy your long weekend whatever track your testing your skills at this weekend.

I have to agree with warmachine I have allways been paid out fairly at Varney even when I was black flagged I got a little tow money. Having said that I have only been there for invitationals, and if they are like everyone else they pay next week for this weeks finish so it would be a while before o got a pay out for running a regular race night.

Thanks for the support. You guys are both right. Varney is a great place to run and, we are trying to make some 'behind the scenes' changes that will affect drivers and fans in a positive manner.
Generally, on Invitational nights, we would pay the visiting drivers that night. I am not sure what the procedure will be for this SUnday but, I can try to get that info or perhaps another member of Varney's management team; who is closer asociated with that aspect of the track; can post here as well.
Bringing extra weight is a safe bet.

Marty, I don't know what the exact details are of your scenario but I do know that you never miss an opportunity to bring it up.
I may be referring to something different here but, my understading is that you were upset with not being paid out for your finishing position in the overall standings but, according to the rules, you did not run enough nights to be eligible for a 'points' payout. Again, I may be off base here but, I think that is what you are referring to.
I know you had mentioned that you were told you would be mailed out a cheque for somehting earlier in another season but, that generally isn't how it works. I personally saw a cheque for you in the pay-outs that sat in there for the entire season as it was assumed that you would be back. Whatever happened to it now is beyond me...that was two years ago.
Sorry you have hard feelings about Varney. You were a good competitor, a fan favourite and seemed like a nice guy. Hopefully whatever this is that has you 'out for Varney' will pass and we will see you back there again sometime.
You know, there are other ways to resolve issues outside of bashing online. Just a thought.

I am not sure where it says you have to run a certain amount of races in order to get your year end pay out, I did see something that says you must
run 3 races to qualify for the end of season champion RACE....Maybe Re-read that part and tell me i am wrong! And your right, there are other ways of
going about things, other then "Bashing" on the web! I am sorry, i should just keep my mouth shut. I am no better then the rest that bash.

But i did send many many emails in regards to pay outs and NEVER got any responce!! I paid my full registration fee, i paid to get in and so on,
I EVEN filled out the form with my proper address!!!! So if there was a Cheque, there is no excuse not to drop in the MAIL!!! I know exactly where
the money went!

Varney is a fun place, But we didnt fit in with YOUR "click" so i guess thats why i never got paid, NOT bashing just the facts!
