We have received a number of inquires from Mini Truck people concerning running a program here at Varney.  We would like all Mini Truck drivers to know that if we could get enough interested racers we would be more then willing to set up a program here at Varney if not this year we would look at next year also.

We have looked at Varney as an option for the last three years. We like the shorter schedule. We haven't registered for 2009 yet although there isn't any choice for mini truck racing this year.

We chose to race at GrandBend Speedway in the past for two main reasons: not enough mini trucks in the field and poor organization/tech of the mini truck group.

Racing in a field of 15-20 mini trucks where any of 12-15 who could win any race is quite different than a field of 3 to 6 trucks. The larger fields provide much stiffer competition and make longer races interesting for the racers and spectators alike.

Are there 12-15 interested teams willing to run a 10-12 race schedule?

You are correct on all counts that is why we are throwing it out there to see if we can get 15 or more who are willing to make a class or two.  5 or 6 isn't fair to anyone drivers, fan or track.

We feel we have everything to offer to put together a great Mini Truck program here at Varney, a great fast track, good pits, a new scoring system and free on site camping....All we need are drivers.
