Virgin Australia and V8 Supercars today announced a partnership that will see it become the official
domestic airline of V8 Supercars.
Virgin Australia will transport V8 Supercar staff and the majority of teams to the 15 Australian events across
the country and one in New Zealand, as well as offering fans great savings for flights and holiday packages
when they travel to those events.
The V8 Supercar fan base will also have access to a range of great value domestic fares and tailored
packages from Virgin Australia as the new official domestic airline.
Virgin Australia Group Executive of Commercial, Liz Savage, said “This is a unique opportunity for Virgin
Australia to be involved with Australia’s premiere motor racing body, and we are proud to be the official
domestic airline.
“Virgin Australia will offer the loyal V8 Supercar fan base a range of great value fares and tailor made
packages from Blue Holidays. With the convenience of more flights, more often, we can help fans reach their
favourite race track destination all over the country” Ms Savage said.
V8 Supercar CEO David Malone said the deal was a fantastic arrangement for V8 Supercars and fans, again
elevating the sport to one of the big players in Australia.
"V8 Supercars is very pleased to have Virgin Australia as our official domestic airline. This partnership is an
ideal way to bring V8 fans closer to the race, with Virgin Australia delivering great value and service to our
loyal fan base.
This is the first step in what we hope to be a long association with Virgin Australia which is a perfect fit with
our international carrier Etihad who have been with us for the past year."

place around Australia, including destinations from Adelaide, to Melbourne and Philip Island, Bathurst, Gold
