Okay so I would like to share MY opinion about the whole incident that happened on Saturday night.
I was there and it happened right in front of my face from the infield.

First off - Cronan the #84 SHOULDN'T have been penalized and sent to the back of the pack. The caution flag waved before he spun himself out. He spun himself out to avoid hitting the #14 car and making matters worse. He was not involved in the caution nor did he cause the caution...

Secondly - Neither Stompin Tom or Baker caused the wreck. The #14 car went high coming out of the corner. Baker and Stompin Tom came up underneath with MORE than enough room. They were both at her door panels and she chopped down and tried to cut Baker off (I'm assuming she didn't realize that he was up to her door or her spotter never told her). Had Baker pushed up on her - the #14 would've went up and hit the outside wall. But instead she came down the track and hit the inside wall.

Thirdly - If Baker was classified as an "involved" car - than so should've Tommy. He had more damage to his car than Baker had to his. They both went underneath her and they both made it 3 wide. If you are going to penalize one car - you need to do all of them.

Also - this is a matter of MY opinion and since this is a public blog that people can express themselves I'm choosing to do so. I've watched every LLM race at sunset since they started this year. I came from another track to Sunset this year so I don't have any real preconceived ideas about drivers. BUT when a driver who is slower is holding up the rest of the field of cars and NOT picking a lane and driving down the MIDDLE of the track, people are going to get impatient and pushy. The #14 isn't the only one who drives like that either by any means. BUT when last week she wrecked the front fender on 2 cars, and then another fender on one of those same cars this week - it seems to be a problem. I'm all for people learning and driving to gain experience and knowledge - but being in the sport for a few seasons now - lessons should be learned by now.

I'm not using this as a pick on the #14 - and I'm not intending this to start arguements or what have you - I'm simple stating my opinion and my point of view on what happened.

Also the officiating needs be more concrete at Sunset. The rules and "calls" should be consistent for every driver and be the same for every driver. As of right now it isn't and there are certain teams that are becoming really frustrated with the calls being made, because they aren't the same for everyone.

Sunset has done a great job this year thus far, but the little things are going to start getting to certain people. (just like the "teching" has)

So,your telling us,that if someone drives into ur left quarter panel, thats not going to send you into the inside wall?Perhaps the 48 was sent to the rear as the flagman blamed him for the incident. Is that possible??
From what i see, alot of racers still drive the new Sunset, like they did the old Sunset, come out of 4 full blast and take her to the wall, and not lifting.
