The AC mini stock weight rules are ridiculous with some small displacement 8 -12 valve cars having to add as much as 500 lbs . There are only 2 tracks that have a minimum weight of 2200 lbs in the province yet JP makes this rule apply to an invitational event .
i've made the decision not to build my car into an outlaw. it's bad enough with a 16v not being able to race places. i heard there will be a spec tire possibly, which will surely cost more money than the tires i run now...i will be very surprised to see the car counts in double digits and i don't see or hear anything that makes me believe that the track will be run any differently than it was last year.
i see payouts posted but that is only for the special events, i don't see sunset running races of these lengths week after week, so is that really what we will be paid or is it what will be paid out 2 or 3 times a year tops? what are the payouts for the rest of the weeks? it isn't even mentioned what regular payouts are like they don't exist. who is scoring and what has been done to eliminate the problems of last year?
i'm sure the guys who do this will do their best to make the division work and put on the best show they can but i'm not putting all of my eggs in sunsets basket, especially after last years debacle....with the economy going in the dumps the last thing most people can afford is to double the money they spend on racing....i'd spend an extra 200 on a scoring unit to put in my car like at barrie. that is money well spent to have electronic scoring and time trials and such and eliminate the b.s. that would be progress IMO
and are these things gonna be allowed at fall colours?
I don't understand what you are talking about! all of our payouts have been posted for a long time. and if you check they are the best in Ontario...
So far 15 Outlaws registered not to bad so far..
He is probably more concerned that if he builds a car that can only be run at Sunset he could get screwed the way you did the 4 fun drivers last year.

It never fails when I answer a post to someone who cares, out of the woodwork crawls another one who wishes to shit disturb. (well get at it if you want.) I will not get drawn into your foolish game, as you have NOTHING to loose!
WE all know about the four funs, and how they were being run, with NO safety equipment whatsoever! it was only a mater of time until someone got killed, and that was not going to happen on my watch!!
Now if you don't like the way I run the speedway, bring a big check and I will sell it to you and you can run what ever you like. until that time I will run it the way I see fit!!

Wes I'm sorry but for a while after the payouts were first posted it was only the specials there. I wasn't aware they had been updated. Thank you for updating them.
I hope the outlaw class prospers, 15 cars will be great, unfortunately i can't afford this new class right now. I will race at Sunset this year in the mini division but mostly only the $500 to win shows. I'm not sure how the other divisions work compared to last year. But every event other than the specials the mini-stock are being paid less than last year. The special event payout is incredible, but the regular night win money is less than last year by over 30%. But there is only so much money to go around I realize and I appreciate your efforts even if I am outspoken on here sometimes. The higher division payouts look nice
But what about the rest of the post? About the scoring and stuff? What is going to be done this year to improve the scoring? Will there be more people hired for that? Now the money is bigger we can't be having lapped cars scored in the top three this year or there will be chaos. That is a concern of mine going into this year.....have you ever considered going to electronic scoring? I'd rather pay for that and use my own cheaper tires I feel it would improve the quality of life for the racers and take much stress away from the scorers....
Nice to see you participating in the boards Wes. When is the schedule coming out? Do you have the # of special events decided on yet?.....
