Actually Ross its an invitational on August 16th for Thunders at Sunset. 1000.00 to win the feature.

Yeah, been over that also. That's in place of the Frosty Special.

1) for the same reason as stated above, a huge win payout is nice for the track champion or someone like Mike Poulton.

2) Aug 16th is a points night for everyone except Barrie and Kawartha. I can skip Mosport for the invitation, but I'll end up with a $120 or less payout vers $175 ish staying at my home track, have to start scratch week after and not gain any points.

3) Kawartha cars would have to do a gear change, to try and get the win. Who wants to swap gears for Saterday night after finishing racing Friday night?

You are not the only one who would have liked to have been at the Frosty... As a fan I really had alot of fun last year and think its a HUGE mistake on the owners part. ITs really unfortunate that CARS other than the ones from BSW and Sunset will be the only ones there because of course the 16th is a regular points night at other tracks...At least the frosty would have brought others since most if not all the other tracks would have been done by then....Maybe Next time...I believe the more the merrier.

I had planned to be at the frosty agin this year that when they changed the date I figured I'd make the new date (provided I have another motor in the car by then...........and I havn't blown that one up too LOL) but that I looked at my calender and we've got a wedding to go to. Damn friends outside of racing.

For one i don't understand why you would have to register for an inviational, the regular payout for thunders is 600, 375, 275, 200, 175, with it being 1000 to win second should be at least 600
