WOW....long day....but well worth the $120. to get in.  I hope Sunset takes donations to buy "Scooter" some duck tape.....and I will help apply it to his yap!!  Some drivers were happy at the end, some were not.....but hello....that is short track racing.  Just two observations.......the fight on pit lane......that car should have been thrown out and lost any money he earned especially after his bumping and jabbing around the track, Sorry Thane(I believe) that you had to endure that as a visiting car, and Oscaar........now I remember why I don't like watching them...........

I've been to every single one doug.....just cause the classic is a long, drawn out deal, doesn't mean they all have to be......should have been one set of heats

Yeah I hear ya. It's a tough deal. I'm not sure about one set of heats. With unpredictable weather, I like the ability to go out twice to test setups before the main. But I realize that by the time you run heats for all the different classes (especially if rain delays come into play), then yeah its a little nuts.

But JP has also made changes (on the fly), often as you know with NO heats like he had to with the Modified's two years ago. It was get in and run...

So all in all, local home track style racing for a big annual event is gonna run long.

Sunset tried to cram in EVERYTHING in a single day, while AC spreads it out over two, if not three ideally to run heats / qualifying on one day and main's and last chance races for the big day.

It's tough no matter what a promoter does. Every class wants a last big time show, so elimination of your weekly series classes from a big event is a bit of an insult, so every class should be there. Perhaps for the mini-stocks (and Hurricane's in the case of AC), perhaps they have only a single heat or two heats with all cars.

But like you said, man........it can it drag on forever! I just hope we don't try to put the blame on promoters for attempting to do the best show they can given what's in front of them.

Great show plus awesome way for Sunset to showcase the track to out of town drivers/fans and finish an incredible season, one thing for Sure Walters has to be yr 2010 season Ontario's best driver
