Was at BS last night and we heard about the incident at about 9-9:30 during autograph session. Heard it was an hour red flag and an ambulance at site so we knew it wasn't good.
Anyways, I haven't been to Sunset to see the 47 and 48 go at it. Only have seen the 48 race at his BS appearances this season. I have no problems with him from those appearances.

At this point in time, it really doesn't matter Who said what, who started it , who deserves what , who's dirty or clean?

No matter which camp you are in..... 47's or 48's!!!

Let's just ALL  wish a speedy recovery to Stompin Tom.

Where am I attacking someone? I'm giving an opinion and that is allowed. Please quote the message of me attacking someone.

CRO - you made a request of no personal attacks on others but you seem to have no problem doing it!  You weren't even there to see what happened and you make hear say comments but expects others not to.

Well said Stock Car Tom

First off and most importantly, let's hope Tom is going to be ok. I agree that most race fans knew this was coming. I am a huge racing fan and am good friends with a driver at the track. I think most people's opinions depend on who they are rooting for. The two sides on this one are for those who like him and for those that don't; it's hard to be objective when you have a vested interest. That being said I have watched Tom push his way to many wins over the last 30 years or so and few have really pushed back. Dwayne Baker pushed back.Getting wrecked awhile back hurt his chances of becoming champion and he was returning the favour; I think we can all agree there would be no intent to injure and that was an unfortunate result. We are a small community, the racing world I mean, especially in Canada.  Last night there was bars in Barrie that almost had as many people.  We represent a small group of people who spend good money each year to support our tracks, drivers and in the case of the drivers, there habit.

We "hate" driver "a" and cheer for driver "b". We try to claim the 17 isn't dirty like the 47 as we watch the 17 punt the 41 into the wall.  Or we try to say the 47 never runs over anyone as he pushes the 10 out of his way.  The fact is, with the exception of the 45, no one runs clean at Sunset, not any of the ones that win anyways.  Even the 84 got impatient last night and ran someone over.  It happens and thats the reason we all love racing.

But, when someone gets hurt in our community, we cheer and defend the one who did it?  Not me, not with any driver, whether I "hate" them or not.  See, I'm a Leafs fan, and I "hate" the Canadiens, but I would never want to see there plane crash into the St Lawrence.  Why?  Because i don't actually hate them.  They just wear the wrong colour!  Thats the way I am at the track too.  I think the 17 is just as dirty as the rest, (if you don't believe it, sit on corner 4) but I don't want anything to happen to him.  That's not what sports "ENTERTAINMENT" is about.

If you're that cold that you can defend what the 48 did, you're trash...plan and simple.  What would you do if the 48 decides your driver is next?  He just proved he's even more dangerous then the 07 Superstock.

Good luck Tommy!  HOpe  you have a speedy recovery!

I wonder what the track is going to do about this, as it was well know that there was going to be some pay back on Saturday and stating it on a message board doesn't help.

It's funny that in hockey they are pressing charges on players for their violent hits on other players. Is this going to happen in auto racing too.

Like I said before the car is ment for racing and if you choose to use it as a weapon. Should charges be laid against you? Just a question on my mind.
