It is my opinion that if you own a business it is your responsibility to know what your employees are doing or not doing, right down to stock items they should be ordering. Thats why you get the big bucks. As for Steve, well honey BSW will be proud to have you back and it will be Sunsets lose. We miss you Steve and please reconsider coming back to BSW to race. The fans love you or at least this one does. You are an amazing racer with integraty on the track. You have always run clean and shown respect for other drivers on the track. I know you had some issues with BSW but they never banned you from racing there that I am aware of. We have some issues there that we are still working out but rest to sure you will be welcomed back with open arms and I for one will be cheering the loudest when you pull that race car back onto the track.....
Evan, I can tell u Steve is 100% honest and what he posted on here is the truth...
Stevey, hopefully u are headed to the best show on asphalt next weekend...atleast we have tires...and our owner drives around a viper...not a golf cart...haha
Don't get me wrong I never said Steve made it up.
Steve picked up the phone and called the supplier, anyone would do that if they need tires. Wasn't Steve even calling JP from Peterborough for tires? Seems he honestly was just looking around, not being an investigative reporter to make sunset look bad. Its public information. If Steve broke into the track office or found it out that way, thats another story.
Given that the track lied, and said the machine was broken, then opened themselves up to looking stupid. It was their lie that made them look dumb. If the said they didn't have any tires and left it at that, even if someone found out the truth, which again anyone with a phone could do, they wouldn't look nearly as dumb.
Whats next? They run out of race fuel from not ordering, tell everyone that the middle east's oil wells are broken, whoever calls them on that gets banned..
Tell ya BSW and Sunset guys, if you are getting tired of the drama, there is always Mosport...
P.S. If someone thinks its a lie, they can call towel city themselves.. Geeze. 1) Google search, Towel City, 2) dial number... 3) ask
Please don't jump all over this as I have gotten a email from Wes
From what I got out of the email it's been going on since Wes bought the track as Steve's family used to own the track. (I hope I put this correctly)
and Wes went on to say Mickey was sent to help keep the drivers informed of what was going on at Sunset. (It seems to me Mickey took it a bit further then what Wes intended Mickey to post and do on here.) ( I trying to word it the best I can without dragging this message on.)
Lastly Wes went on to say my only intentions are to built Sunset back to what it was in the past.
Please this is not put up here for a bashing sesson but to give the other party their say and I'm not taking sides just posting the other side of this.
I really don't know what became of all this and as I can recall at one point we were all talking about how to improve the place and then it took a turn for the worst. (Maybe I read it wrong but that's how I saw it)
It seems people want things fixed around the track and it seems that is what Wes wants too as stated in the email to me. my only intentions are to built Sunset back to what it was in the past.
I hope this sheds some light on this topic a bit and maybe this can be fixed or maybe not or maybe it is something Steve and Wes will have to fix.
From what I see here is great
1. You support the drivers
2. you want to see good racing at Sunset
These things are not bad and can maybe used as a stepping stone to make things better.
Thanks for listening
