I really didn't see any arguing about the banquet, IMO it spun off relatively well, a lot of smiling faces picking up some well earned hardware, food was great, $4.50 for a single shot was a little rich I had to pay double for a mans sized glass.

With a year riddled with controversy comparisons are bound to take place based on the last few years, I for one am thankfull there was a banquet, as I am sure those who attended are as well, I was actually quite suprised with all the uncertainty about everything and the rumors surrounding it that it was as good as it turned out.

Let me dumb it down a bit for you. Every track this year will have sponsors, that will return, that do not attend the banquet. If you cannot figure out the reason(s) for youself, other than they do not intend to support the track, that I don't think I can exaplain it to you.

Also unlike you, the rest of us will attend our banquets, find sponsors absent, and not bitch about it.

Its funny how people complain about the place, and keep going back. What does that say about you?

because you respond to people in ways that make them think you totally missed the point of what they were saying....such as you're response above.

this may sound bad but for your purposes i don't give a [COC Edit - Watch the langauge] if the sponsors show up....i appreciate what they do for the track and the drivers but it is their decision to go or not but i said their absence meant one of two things and i think many would agree with me...it would be nice if more were there but what are the odds of basically all of them not being there.  usually they hand the trophies out to their respective divisions or would at least provide a representative but it is their decision and doesn't upset me either way.  i do care about what the track gives back to the drivers that put on the show and for that to regress from one season to the next is upsetting to me ross....and i can state my opinion without having to crawl up a dark stinky place like you seem to have to.

i was disappointed with the prizes at banquet this year but i had a great time and i will never forget it cause i was champ. i'm voicing my opinion primarily to tell you your an [COC Edit - Watch the language], my opinion of the banquet was a byproduct of that i saw this topic before you posted and held off until i read your bulls**t and couldn't resist.  maybe that's a weakness of mine actually trying to reason with you...

there was a point in time where i was going to be suspended for 4 weeks for making a joke on here so far out in left field it would never have been taken literally and was referring to an anonymous pseudonym on here if i didn't apologize for it.  i swallowed my pride and did and i'm glad i did now, but that'll be the last time.

And as every other whiner will tell you, the grass is always greener on the other side.

So here is a view from the other side..
1) Every track's car counts are down, we are in a recession.
2) Less car = less teams (at the banquet) not rocket science
3) Less almost no, in your earlier post was 2, so we'll assume sunset only has 3 sponsors then LOL how stories change.
4) Less dates due to rain, less spectators = less cash for the points fun

I'll let you in on the joke Slammer. All the points above are the same at every track. Guess what, not all the sponsors showed to the Mosport banquet. Shocker eh.. Cash was down a bit there to eh. WOOO another shock, and so were the drivers!! Same will be true at Kawartha. Diff is we are not her firing off messages bitching about everything from sponsors to roast beef.

So Slammer, for every other driver out there from every other track in the provice, is in the same shoes as you (few) Sunset guys love to complain about. The difference is we don't sit around feeling sorry for ourslef and whining about every little thing. Thats why so many people, and yes they are out there just ask around, laught at you guys.
