As a fan of Sunset I would think that a Web page is suppose to reflect the ownership of a place. If I was an owner I would want my page to be accurate and reflect a certain standard. Spelling correct. Information correct. What kind of message is this page as it is reflecting to people who may not know Sunset and are looking for more information? Unfortunately that information is not Available.
I don't think that people are expecting a decked out Results and Flash and Light Show but come on YOU must admit that there is still work that needs to be done.
Yes there is still a lot of problems, and with Stephen in the Y.K. on vac. and trying to update the site it is almost imposable.
So I will suggest to Wes when I see him that he takes the site down, until it is complete and ready. that way you and others will have nothing to bitch about.

You have it 100% that is what most people want to see on the tracks site. They can careless about the graphics or if it has a flash opening.
I guess I cannot expect any more that that type of a response from you.
If I was Wes I would make sure that no photos from Sunset ever appeared on your site again, as well as All races that are filmed and posted (illegally) Matter of fact I will call him tonight regarding this matter.

Funny thing mickey you come on here just to shoot off at the mouth and say you are going to do this and do that,t go ahead as for the videos contact youtube as that is where they are hosted grow up Mickey and don't waste our time with your posts as saying can prevent people from posting photo's of sunset cars is a joke and fans can take them and do what they want with them. As people mentioned here there is no sign saying no pictures.
Wes is getting free advertising here as I bet more people are going to the track to see what people are talking about on here. As pointed out people on here are trying to make the track better and the look of the website has nothing to do with it. People want the basics from a race website which is some race results, standings and some pictures and that is it.
So you coming on here and posting nine messages in a row knocking people and threatening you are the one that looks bad and it looks like you want to take on everyone that has posted in this thread. If this is your purpose please don't bother posting on here but make your calls to Wes and do what you have to do.

I bet Wes already reads what is going on here as they all do. We have Sponsors, Teams, Tracks & Fans on this site. This is why we are the top Canadian Racing site.

...And just a quick question, no offence SSWebguy, but if you did such a great job, why are you not doing it now? Buy the way I don't think that the website is the best that I have ever seen, but I dont think anyone (probably including the webmaster) pretends that it is. It is just meant to be factual.
Fair questions JonnyQ. I never said it was the best, as a matter of fact I know it wasn't. I did my best and people seemed happy.
As for why I don't do it anymore, I quit at the end of 2006 due to a move (it is now a significant drive to Innisfil) and other personal reasons. Nothing too scandalous. 🙂

Thats my point and sure if wes wanted to spend more money, then he could have gotten better, but I dont think that the webmaster would claim that the site is a class leading affair either! IMO he has done an acceptable job for info that he has, and I am sure that your drive is less of a drive than the U.K!! Bottom line is, if the guy is on vacation for a couple of weeks, then he has done well to do what he has.
I see your point JonnyQ, but then the website should have been a bare bones affair without all the "coming soon" pages that never come. He took what was there, moved things around and called it his own. That's the frustrating part - it shows a total lack of commitment. And geeez, the spelling mistakes.
As for my drive to the track, I was a LOT more involved and had to be there every night so it isn't really a fair comparison. In any case, if he was going to be away for a full two weeks (we are only taking the word of the oracle "mickey" remember) he should have had someone cover it off.
In his case, if this is his best people aren't happy.
