As an outsider reading the posts on this topic, (and they go on and on) I feel I have to ask a couple of questions. How long has this guy been in the U.K? He seems to have done some updating on the site. The banner is correct, the photo's are up to date, and the race report is current. I am sure that if he is updating those parts of the site from the other side of the ocean, then he would update points and results if he had them. I would say he has made a damn good effort! And just a quick question, no offence SSWebguy, but if you did such a great job, why are you not doing it now? Buy the way I don't think that the website is the best that I have ever seen, but I dont think anyone (probably including the webmaster) pretends that it is. It is just meant to be factual.

Fair questions JonnyQ. I never said it was the best, as a matter of fact I know it wasn't. I did my best and people seemed happy.
As for why I don't do it anymore, I quit at the end of 2006 due to a move (it is now a significant drive to Innisfil) and other personal reasons. Nothing too scandalous. 🙂

mickey.....the best thing that could happen to sunset right now is what is happening now on cro believe it or not...i have a feeling that some of what is tossed around on this website filters through and although it may be agravating and painful it's useful info and ideas that can be used in a positive way by wes....we are in most cases (slammer especially) getting comic relief from a frustrating situation, other times venting anger, but we all have the same goal in mind for the track and that is for it to prosper.....there are probably a few more people interested and informed about the track now because of what has been posted on this site...
as far as the videos....the reason rogers or any other media outlet is at sunset filming the races is because they are not aware of the quality racing/entertainment taking place at the track. The reason they don't know is because nobody has made a pitch or a good enough pitch to them to sell them on it...that is probably too late now because barrie has beat them too it and there is not a big enough market to justify two weekly telivision shows on simcoe county racing.....the posting of videos such as these

are the best possible advertising anyone could see for the track. tell wes to watch that and see if he doesn't want that available for people to see. u watch it too...you'll like it i promise
don't take this stuff too personal if you are trying to make wes pull all images of his track off the internet you aren't doing him any favors...having said that i know what it's like to fly off the handle on here so i won't think bad of you for your rants lol
now for something positive mickey...
today when i got to the track early i could sign in right away and everybody will be extremely happy with this improvement as they won't have to wait in line for too long anymore while the pits are cleared at regular opening time.
KUDOS TO SUNSET for that improvement and also the flags and the billboards as slammer mentioned if you hadn't read his post earlier...he's not all that bad

as far as the website if steve cant complete and update the website he probably shouldn't be doing it. or it should be taken down and deb can post results and points on this website on the results board. so when you go to sunsets website there is a link to the page here that the info is on....that would eliminate half of the bitching pretty quickly i think....

Thats my point and sure if wes wanted to spend more money, then he could have gotten better, but I dont think that the webmaster would claim that the site is a class leading affair either! IMO he has done an acceptable job for info that he has, and I am sure that your drive is less of a drive than the U.K!! Bottom line is, if the guy is on vacation for a couple of weeks, then he has done well to do what he has.

It's all been in good fun, and Joes points were not intended to be anything other than just that based on request for bare bones points and results.
Please do not start on the legalities of what is posted anywhere on the net that statement just makes you look foolish.
Evan having a chuckle but pointing out just what that stupid little cartoon represented which was 100% of what people want, points results and pic's even in there most basic form should not be held against him. He runs a terrific, informative site here that benefits everybody in the racing communities across North America.
If you do in fact have the keys to Wes's back door do something usefull with them and get some of the points brought up on here to people that matter and help make a change, observe before you speak you may learn a great deal. There are a lot of observers on this site that do not log in they just watch, potential sponors for both drivers and tracks keep that in mind when you post things like this

Steve being in the U.K. has nothing to do with the site not being updated he could probably get a better connection to the Yahoo.com server it is hosted on than we do here to do his updates.
Ernie made a lot of great points, however the times are the times and people want to hit the net and get their racing info from their respective Track Websites.
Personally I value having a place to race close home more than you know, I think it's great that the racers and fans are as worried about the state of affairs over there as they appear to be on here it shows that they care.
Deb doing the points and whomever else may feel some are against them it just isn't so, if Deb asked for help outside of the close knit group in the tower I guarantee there would be an army of people lining up to help out and I and a few others here would be some of the first in line.
Gotta lighten up Mickey if you are going to take the time to post, take the time to think....rather pouring fuel on an already raging fire think of what you can do to help extinguish it. Crack a joke or offer solutions....getting all defensive whatever your realtionship to Wes won't make you shine to bright in here and will make things worse don't yah think?
