Sunset Speedway/Wild Wing South Barrie will be hosting a 2013 Daytona 500 Party Sunday Feb 24, with a key focus on raising money for Sunset drivers and having a whole lot of fun.
If you are a registered Sunset driver and you arrive before the green flag your name will go in a hat. Over the course of the race we will be drawing names out for sponsorships for the 2013 race season.
So far, we have at least 3 $500 sponsorships, including Wild Wing South jumping in the game and stepping up first to sponsor one lucky driver. This will only grow, I have had a lot of people asking to help and will work on it till race time. My goal is to try and get close to 10 prize packs for the drivers.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy the race on the big screens and there will be lots of draws and prizes throughout the day for everyone, not just the drivers.
We will have a $20 pool for the first 43 people that sign up and pay, numbers will be drawn on Daytona Sunday between noon and 12.15
Prize break down will be.
$60 First car out
$100 Halfway leader
$100 Third place
$200 Second place
$400 First place
Wild Wing will have great deals on food and drinks all day so please come out and enjoy the kick off to the 2013 season.
