Come on you guys at sunset , Spencer you said the website would be up soon.Brendan , what do you know.!!!
ok just to be clear spencer has nothing to do with the website so spence i'm not bashing you here but
last years "normal" blew goats.
hopefully normal this year means on time.
i will say this though....transition or not it doesn't take alot of time to update the results so one way or the other so unless the website is completely down, it can be accessed and the results put in.
i imagine the problem here is that whoever does it voluntarily and there is no incentive for them to put it up so they don't bother taking the time.....
i think it's a sorry excuse and just saying the website sucks and they will try to make it better would be more acceptable than claiming a transition period......
i feel sorry for those who weren't scored correctly because there is no way to know it and i know it's happened in at least one race this year i know for certain.......
From what I have heard, Wes has his own person to do the website and they are in disagreement as to who will update it...it seems like there are a couple of things they can't agree on...apparently Glenn wasn't even at the track on Saturday night....
That doesn't make sense at all. If you have somebody to "do" your website then that is what they do they don't disagree about updating it as updating it is what a site like that is all about. The template is done there is nothing to do on that website but update it, it is the job.
What is the hold up is there isn't any information to update the site with. If you notice there is pictures and a race report but no results or standings as that is being sorted out right now.
and.. yep no Glenn at the track Saturday night. He was there during the day though.
I haven't been to the track this year but know a bit about the previous update procedures. One person did the body of the site (including photo/report post) and another did the points and results. There may have been a third person in there somewhere. Both were Lloyd family members and to my knowledge won't be doing them after the transition is complete. As for the points and report being posted, that's mostly because they would be readily available (Al is timely with submitting pics and our buddy Brian would submit the "report" pretty quickly). They're easy to format and post too.
There's also a lot of confusion with two promotors trying to run the track. At this point who knows who is responsible for what. That question will likely be answered pretty soon though.
And for the record I did offer to do the site again but only if Glenn is running the show which won't be happening. I've heard too much about the current situation to want to be involved - too many people are already pissed. People can say what they want about Glenn Lloyd but he is the best boss I've ever had in this business.
As for Glenn not being at the track, check out Danka's awesome pics - isn't that him working on the white bus?
