If your right about that call , I wouldn't doubt he'd be pissed off ! Take the $$$$'s in damages among both race cars in the past month ( including a new motor ) and time spent repairing and setting up again . Then you get leaned on by the track and the points aren't right to top it all off . If you drove that car and there was a discrepency in the points , that cost you a championship . What would you do ? Keep in mind that without the cars , there's no show . It's all about empty promises = this Sunday rain date previously scheduled !!!! Walters called the track several times this afternoon threatening to sue if they did not run tonight or have a rain date .Apparently the calls degenerated into profanity laced tirades where they just kept hanging up on him .
I don't know the full details, I dont know who "holland landing" is or who "Big Bill" is, (although I could have a pretty good guess,) but I do know Tom. This may be a heavily biased part of the story, but I do know, without a shadow of a doubt, that this is not the whole story.

I sure hope Tommy Walters gets some action about the race canellation this past Sat. night, cause it "may" tURN out that he was robbed of a CHAMPIONSHIP if they don't run a rain date to decide the outcome "fairly" !

Everyone is all over Wes for changing the schedule ro remove the Sunday rain date. HE CAN'T DO THAT ITS ON THE SCHEDULE. Ok fine, so your argument is the schedule is the word of God and can't/shouldn't be changed for any reason. Fine I acept that.
But in the next sentance you change the rules. You want him to change the schedule to add another date, say next weekend to make up for the rainout this weekend.
Ok to change it sometimes, but not others?
