Sunset Speedway Girls

The idea of the "Sunset Girls" was a good thought in all, but I think it has come off wrong. I've spoken to people and saw others who didn't appreciate the idea of it. The idea of the amount, should actually say lack of amount, of clothing they're wearing is totally off bounds. There are younger children whom are at the track and it's something that they don't need to see; they should be seeing something that has more class and dignity. We've already got enough people in this world in the media that are showing these girls the wrong image. Also, a lot of people were disagreeing with them as a whole (those whom I spoke to) as they didn't feel it was needed - kind of a stupid side gimick on the side of the racing - when it should be the racing that's set as the most important item. Lastly, there were some whom didn't want the girls in those photos yet they still got in there and I think that's the wrong. These are the win photos that the driver and those whom are with that driver will cherish for years to come so they should be as the driver wants them, and not what is expected with these girls having to be in them. I don't know what the rest of you have to say with regards to this but this is just my opinion.

Trophy girls... Great idea!

Not that I'll be spending any time with them LOL ;D

This is a very traditional part of racing culture. I don't believe they should be wearing bikinis or anything like that, but how PC do we have to be not to offend SOMEONE.

I think the jumpsuit idea is good... Keep the girls around 😮

i saw the pics and was surprised nothing was said earlier..lol..and ya they need more clothes...but the people in the pics dont seem to mind...they have "trophy girls" at other tracks, infact at Humberstone the girl there use to race minis and she is very popular with everyone at the track and is a great representative for the track and getting information out to drivers and fans on facebook site and such.

Sorry dude...missed your post and mentioned the Humberstone thing again like 3 posts after yours...

The girls looked great and drew lots of attention but now because of a handful of whiners they are going to have to cover up like we lived in some Muslim theocracy .

:- The girls may have looked great to you and anyone other male but for those of us with young children in the pits it didn't go over very well.. Next time you can explain them to my daughter...who at 9 already thinks she has fat and she is not even close to being slightly over weight....

Have a trophy girl, but make her dress in more clothes.. :-
