Yes they are,lighter pistons and rings different rods, even heard of them being 20+ hp more right out of the box on the dyno, but i guess u hear a lot in this sport, and isnt it a one year suspension if u get caught tampering with one? I dont know who would wanna take that chance cause i sure wouldnt
yet the guy that won thunders has the same motor as you and yanked you and all but second so bad on the straights you had no chance. did you miss the setup that bad? so bad you couldn't even accelerate in a straight line as good? when you were leading and caution came out with the 46 and 72 2nd and third, the guy beside me says, "do you think he'll last another lap or will it be 2 laps before he's 3rd?"

I would like to see the cars being whole. I mean a Ford engine in a Ford car. From what has been posted in this thread , I assume the 47 is running a GM engine in a Mustang ? I do recall a situation at Barrie some years back when the 47 powerplant was deemed to be illegal then the next week had all points reinstated so he eventually won the championship. There was alot of rumours surrounding the decision then . I don't think I ever did hear the actual reasoning for the change in the penalty given. I do hope that something is done by McColl to ensure the series is well attended by both cars and fans and this domination by one driver is reigned in somewhat. ::)
A whole lot of whining on here.......lets remember that had the 1st lap not taken out 5 of the "considered" top cars....this race would have been more entertaining.
I'm sure that Watson, Cronan, and Morrow....would have had something for the 47 and 51. Ohh geez....did I say the 51......bad me.....cause everyone here seems to forget that he was the only one who had something for the 47. ??? wonder if his motor got sealed too and will get pulled into tech on Saturday?
