I too think that tech should have happened then, not days later. maybe it is not the motor, there are other ways to pick up more power or enhance what you already have, so car goes home, whatever was not in engine can be made disappear.as bently says this is second time this has happened, just worse this time. it leaves one to wonder, how does a motor from gm that is advertised as 355 horsepower with a 4 barrel make the pro lates look so bad?

If Mark Dilley and Sunset Speedway can seriously seal an engine, and make sure that it is not tampered with when the car is not at the speedway as they are suggesting, then why do they not do that to all the crate motors that they sell. Why not take the serial numbers of all crate engines for competition at the track, the same way as they do with the tires. have the speedway seal them with there own seals, and any motor, crate or otherwise, that does not have their seals on it , be considered a "built" and given an appropriate weight penalty? Just a thought.

Mosport use to have the right idea. My 1st 602 crate was ordered from a Gm dealer. It was shipped directly to the Mosport Tech inspector. In addition to the factory Gm seals he added his own seals and kept a record of the serial numbers of each seal he put on. Only after he was done was I able to pick up the motor. Until then I was not able to even lay eyes on it let alone tamper with it. That's how it needs to be done.

This the second time he has walked away from me now in the pro races. The 47 is unable to beat me on a regular saturday night, yet he pulls me in the pro race?? Something interesting is going on.

As far as our engine is concerned it has never been opened and would gladly hand it over to be teched. we have nothing to hide.

So i take it you walters and cornelious are all having your motors checked on sat night. Is it not a regular thing for the track to tear down the 3-5 top runners at the half way part of every race season.I think its only makes sense for the goodness of racing and fair play that they look at the 3 of these racers power plants.Should appease a lot of the racers to know that the track and Mark Dilley have done everything they can to make everything equal for all.
