I wasnt reffering to Glenn as it seems that is what you are insinuating?
How am I telling lies and and bashing? Like you so kindly pointed out.
Read through it again, I stated my "opinion" and it was shared by many others about the safety.
Its obvious that you are a Glenn Lloyd Fanboy as you jumped on me like a pissed off dog looking for a fight?
Read back on what you posted to me, you are the one that has no class and its obvious by your response.
You are correct, I am "Slaughter Jr", hence the screen name "Junior" so its not hard to figure out as well as I also state regularily. I dont hide behind fake names just so I can be a MSG board trash talker. I simply state my opinion or facts that I know. If you believe that "pops" emptied the pits then thats your choice. Where that is what you think, there are 5 others that think otherwise so really your opinion doesnt phase me. Dilley came to "pops" and said that he wouldn't agree to take the contract the new owners were offering unless "pops" was going to work with him?
Anyways, sorry Ash, back to what this thread was initially intended for....
I need to back Junior up on this one. I was there on the track when the owner (Wes Good) came out and told us to pick up the car and take it out to the parking lot and take him out of the car because the driver (Bob) was fine. Even though he clearly was injured. He was in and out of consciousness. Well the owner and the Ambulance crew got into a yelling match on the track. When Bob was put into the ambulance and was taken away, the on track ambulance crew parked the ambulance and walked into the grandstands. Last I heard, Bob is now driving in the 4 cylinder class. When my wife and I first saw the four fun car that was in the mall for the car show, we both said it was unsafe. I am so glad that this class has gone away because it was just injuring too many people and racing isn't for injuring people. Racing is meant to be fun. It should be safe clean fun. Oh and also, the promoter/owner decided to run the four funs backwards one night and a car drove off the track almost hitting my wife, right where the cars come on the track. She was flagging over in the corner and thankfully she was up on the bricks otherwise she may not be here today. These cars were an accident waiting to happen.
To Whom;
I was there the night that Wes Good came out onto the track and told the First Aid people to take the car with the driver in it off the track with a tow truck. He did not care that doing this could cause further injury. He also told the First Aid people that once the driver was placed in the Main Ambulance, that they were fired and to go home.
It would be nice if they were to bring the Four Funs back, but with proper cages in them for protection. So, Junior is was telling the truth!!!
Further more, as for Bob the driver, I personally spoke to him in the parking lot last year(2010) AND he was still hurting from the accident. As for The Slaughters, they did a great job in promoting and running the track, "HATS OFF TO THEM" It is not easy to have a full time job and also look after the track the way that they did. As for POPS supposedly emptying the pits some one is on cheap drugs. He was a hard working man and took great pride in his work. It was a real pleasure to work with the Shakells and the Slaughter families during my and my families time in working for both families. We were like one big and happy family. SO do not go knocking someone till you are in their shoes. It is like that again with the new Promoter, Mark, and Steve Sr.manager and the rest of the staff at SUNSET INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY , Again..........
