i think our tires are 98? When did they go to 110? I know the side walls are economy and not the 880 like they were before....

It was explained to me Saturday night by a BSW team that the price just went up adding GST & PST to the old price.

What an awesome show. Not only is the facility improving a little each week the moral both at the track has improved 1000%. I had talked to a few visiting cars and they were blown away at how you made a point to do a face to face, shake hands and thank them for coming out. When some talked to you about rules (shocks, 602 etc) you listened and said you were interested in implementing that at Sunset for next year or at least hearing more about it. In the past we had always heard that if you don't like things go buy your own track. We never felt like anybody was listening to us. I heard from several visiting drivers that said I want to race at Sunset next year for sure.

That had to have been one of the best shows of all time. With all the close racing in all the classes, but i must admit Jim in a dress and all the fireworks etc made the night. I did happen to notice one thing that no one has mentioned yet,i think Jim even shaved his legs for the big night. Great show by all the drivers in all the classes. And thanks to all the drivers that came from all the different tracks to compete at sunset on sunday, made for the show of the year. And thanks to Mike Hearty for making the haul from laird speedway in Sault st marie,a real competetor and class guy.

First time I had been out to Sunset in about 3 years. The improvements to the facility are impressive and long overdue . Nice job by the current management. Now to the racing. first, using the term late models in the advertising is somewhat misleading. I had wondered if it was the actual late models class that would be running the 75 lapper or the LLM class which it turned out to be. Altho the count was disappointing, it was indicative of today's economy and the competitors who ran put on a very spirited show as described by other posters in the Barrie ? Speedway section on this forum. I have to point out tho that the 25 time champion Tom Walters still can't seem to pass anyone without pushing on them first, but it was exciting to see Morrow give him a taste of his own medicine. If the two hadn't reconnected , Morrow may just have taken the win. I thought the wonderkid Watson would be a factor as he seemed to be holding back , I presumed for a late charge but it didn't happen. TC feature was great with lots of good racing back in the pack. The 00 and 44 were a notch above last night. I must give a shout out to 14, Thayne, you have improved as a driver immensley since I last saw you run in the Mustang at BSW a few years ago. Congrats and you should be proud. So, to conclude, I had a great time, the racing was great, seeing some old friends in the pits afterwards was fun and I look forward to getting out again on a Sunday before the season ends.  🙂

Walters won the sat. night feature also.
