Stroud Ontario,  May 21 2011.
Saturday night was the first official points night of racing.  The weather was great, there was a large crowd out for the event even though it was a long weekend.  The races started at 5:30Pm. with the time trails for Super Stocks. Then it was down to the official racing for the evening. It was bumper to bumper racing the whole evening.  The car count was good, even though there were a number of cars not quite ready for the nights racing. 17 cars were called to the line up for the Super Stock feature, with the top five being,  1st was car number  28 a 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, driven by The one and only Paul Maltese. In a close second place was car #21 a 1994 Chevrolet Nova, driven by Matt Bentley, 3rd goes to 22 a 1999 Chevrolet Monte carlo  driven by Jason Elliott.  4th went to #49 a 1980 Chevrolet Camero the one and only Flying Frank Davey. Now Frank Davey is a driver to keep your eye on as 99.9% of the time he drives with his left hand, while his right hand is on a part of the roll cage. He drives like you would in all sorts of traffic on a Sunday afternoon, not a worry on his mind. 5th place went to #46 a  1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS,  driven by Lane Zardo

23 cars started the Mini Stock feature with the top 5 being, 1st place went to #48 a 1994 Dodge Neon  driven by Nick Brown.  2nd place went to #99 a 1991 Honda Civic with Rob Krystal driving.  3rd place went to car #79 in a 1991 Ford Mustang with  Nicole Podewils driving. 4th place went to car #3 a 1991 Honda Civic with Rob Gibson doing the honours. 5 th place went to car #67 a 1991 Honda Civic driven by Braden Bullen.

17 cars started the Limited Late Model which was wheel to wheel, door handle to door handle racing. No one was able to take any big lead till the last 7 laps when Kevin Cornelius moved well out for the lead to the finish line. The top 5 being, 1st place went to #17 a 2011 Chevrolet Impala SS, driven by Kevin Cornelius. 2nd place went to # 48 a Chevrolet Impala, driven by Dwayne Baker. 3rd place went to #84 a 2011 Chevrolet Impala with Sean Cronan doing the driving. 4th place went to the one and only “STOMPIN TOM WALTERS" IN # 47, a 2010 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. 5th place went to # 11. "MR EXCITEMENT " Chris Morrow, in a 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

On Sunday May 22 was a Special event, with the OSCAAR’s, Canadian Vintage Modified and the TQ Midgets on hand. Again a good number of fans on hand to see these different types of cars racing.  The TQ midget race feature was won by #18 Jason Keen. the Canadian Vintage feature was won by #48 driven home by Darren McLennan. And Main event of the evening was the Outlaw Cars, known as the OSCARS, with car #22, driven by a local driver who use to race at local tracks Glenn Watson..

Next week, MAY 28 2011, the races will be moved to a Summer hours with a 6;00PM start and will be the regular starting time till September, with the exception of some Specials.

Thank You

not the only typo as OSCAAR is spelt wrong in the last sentence.
