True the Modified class is dying, but the only reason is because all the track promotors who run them are greedy and change the rules so they can only run there track. So people we're getting fed up and parking there cars. If you can remember years ago when the thunder series was touring around, one night there was 47 modifieds at mosport. Have you ever seen 45 llm's at one track? Other then Peterborough? I don't think so.

The modifieds are interesting and fun to watch and aren't just follow the leader. The only thing the mod's need is a great track (like sunset) to make universal rules and stick to them.

If Sunset does it - they will come!!!

Both Mosport and Varney are talking about running limited schedule because the counts are low. Let's not kill a fast and exciting class. They have all the same qualities as a llm but the motor sits further back, and they are 400 pounds lighter and open in the front. With some pretty cool wings on them, and open wheels.

And Doherty the Deleware Mods run 400 horse full late model motor that's the only difference between them. And are way faster!

Sunset isn't as big as Mosport or as small as Varney so in my opinion it's the perfect size for good saturday night racing, which in the last 6 weeks I've learned. I love racing the mini at Sunset and a Modified would be crazy.

I can gaurentee you every driver will be at the fence watching them get down.

ya true, the 4 cylinders probably make up half the pits and bring a ton of fans and probably put on the best 3-4 wide show up until last week green to checkered.

So its really something when Gary McLean goes to Peterborough and puts a whipping on the Delaware guys that run Autumn Colours.
