i'm not sure the modifieds would fly without a bunch more cars....i can't see there being enough cars without one of the existing tracks folding the division there...

skidder is right about the medication business.  if glenn was losing his shirt with all of the 4 cylinder cars there then how will wes afford the purse for the other two divisions without all the four bangers and empty grandstands...

i think wes should concentrate on bringing the track up to par with regards to the basic operation of the track to improve things for the drivers and teams that put on the show.  score races accurately, report the results in a timely manner, post points on a weekly basis and come up with a race report that is more than a listing of the top 5 at the beginning, middle, and end of a race.  brian watt should concentrate on writing a race report beyond the grade 3 level and don't worry about what division is racing.

we were suppossed to have a week off once a month for 3 months in which we could claim 84 points...this was announced at the drivers meeting in december.  last week my brother took a week off and at the track this week he was told that wes isn't doing that so his season is lost because wes changed the rules with no announcement.  other people were screwed too that didn't know the rule was changed.  the week he took off we spoke to the track officials and they said "no problem" at the time and then wes pulls a 180.

so unless sunset speedway can pull it's head out of it's ass and can manage it's way out of an open door, it won't attract any new racers no matter what division is run...

I am so sick of the rumours and BS it's a joke. Funny at times yes but still a joke, and if we keep perpetuating them it will just get worse.

From what I gather Wes has an open door policy with a select few that digest what he tells them and either spews it back out as gospel truth, or puts their own spin on it for the sake of feuling up the Rumour machine.

I will not build cars to run at a track where there is speculation that they Might run them, maybe can them, maybe move them to another night etc.
These things need to be addressed, I am sure all the divisions there have their concerns, Walters drive for 25 won't be as sweet if it is won at Sunset based on inaccurate points and results.
I don't think Glenn was losing his shirt on the 4 cylinders they paid for themselves every night, we did the math and based on 2 people per car at 18 bucks each and the number of cars their its a break even deal.
However look at last Saturday night, I was not there but from what I hear over half the stands cleared out before the 4 cyl feature.
Now I talked to a Veteran Super Late driver that attended Sunset Saturday night for the first time in over 15 years, although he is familiar with the 4 cylinder class mainly through my weekly reports over the last couple of years he has never seen one untill last week.

He said it was the most exciting thing he has ever seen at any of these local short tracks, guy trippin' five wide and  Ken and Mike put on a hell of a show fighting for the lead.
Over the last couple of year no LLM fans or Thunder fans really got to see to much of the 4 cylinders based on start times and features being run last.
With the order change it may bring up the fan base.
Being Stupid is a privilege and talk of changing nights flat out abuses this.

I agree with your statement......The mods I cant see taking off, its not a show with only 5 or 6 cars, I talked to Jason Cornell last night who owns a mod and he said he would definately run there for sure so if the burrows camp does have 5 on a regular basis + Jason that makes six, now what happens if they wreck 5 laps into a 25lap feature?? just doesnt make sense if there is only interest from 2 teams...
4 cyl divisions moving to a seperate night or the division being abolished all together would prove to be a very very stupid business mistake on Wes's part and that would go to show me that he has an agenda thats not a positive one! 4 bangers pay for themselves and put on a good show, and calculations that user and slammer made based on 2 people per car is cutting it way short! When I ran I always had to pay for atleast 4 people per night everynight! If getting rid of 4 bangers at sunset ends up coming to fruition (God help us all if it does) then if I were barrie speedway, I would be gearing up for a great campaign to draw them to their track....$$$$$$$$$$ CHA CHING!

I mean its hard enough to get the right payout and the 88tc hasnt even been paid from 2 weeks ago when he finished second and got paid for 18th! so take away all the dough that the minis bring and we are all doomed when it comes to payout the following week
