The user agrees to the terms when signing up and if it comes to a legal issue the user is on his or her own as we can't be held responsible for the members post.

The problem is to many people want to dish it out and hide behind an alias and that has alway been the issue even before the net. I had to deal with this back in the Computer Dial-up bulletin boards in the mid 80's to 90's.

I'm just sick and tired of good topics turning in to garbage. I was thinking of splitting the topic and just tossing the bickering into it's own topic. Maybe that is a better way of dealing with it.

Blogs, News outlets, etc, battle with this issue everyday. Censoring is a wicked double edge sword. There's no way an administrator can win. The real issue for an administrator is potential liability. Litigation and defence in cases of defamation, criminal code, and civil penalties often exceed what can or should be allowed.

I say leave everything as it is.

HEARSAY.. That team was banned from Mosport Speedway for a certain amount of time for messing with a sealed crate engine?

Let's clear this statement up for the record.

At no time has this team or anyone associated with this team ever been banned or suspended from Mosport Speedway for any reason and that includes any suspected tampering of a crate engine.

It was entertaining for a while but now it is just getting sad on all sides :- I guess since the other topic was deleted by the thread author people want to have stuff on the record again. So be it, let the chips fall where they may. As far as not being responsible Evan I'd be careful there. Some recent decisions from the whacked human rights commissions have held blog hosts responsible although certain cases have been reversed when brought before a real court but that takes years and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. If as this board's host you feel that the C of C is not being adhered to then you have every right to edit or delete posts. Your call. Feel free to move or remove this posting of mine after you make whatever decision you feel is required.

Can I clean this topic up as there is a lot of replies that is bickering that has nothing to do with the topic.

The reason I ask this is I don't want people to say i'm sensoring things.
