Wow guys, really, you're going to drag the 17 team into this????
They had nothing to do with the 47 & 48 ordeal, they ran a clean hard season and earned the championship. The last I knew, they were leading the points going in Saturday night and were in contention all year, it was just as much theirs to lose. The pictures don't show seconds before, when they were watching their car and didn't see the full impact, the cheers that you're speaking of, were certainly not for what you're trying to imply. I've watched many cheer, at the misfortune of others in the heat of the moment, it's nothing more then a spontaneous emotion. This was their FIRST, championship, that in itself carried a lot of weight. They (17 Team) gathered it up real quick when they realized the severity of what actually took place. Even the Walters non fans were concerned after the fact.

I can honestly say I am not a fan of the Kevin as a driver. I haven't had many encounters with him but every time he has come off as arrogant. Maybe its just his personality. As far as I'm concerned the only difference between him and Walters is Walters has been doing it for longer and much more successfully. I'm sure Taylor Holdaway and several other drivers near the end of the season who were door slammed by Kevin would agree. If Kevin was maliciously forced into a concrete retaining wall my instant reaction would be safety first no matter how much i like or dislike the guy behind the wheel. The 17 won a bunch of races this year and looked dominant at the beginning but the facts are that is came down to one points night and it was not you guys that prevailed it was the stupidity of another driver not even in the game. I wouldn't plan on holding on the the "clean racer" title for too long you will find that as you keep winning people will find things to complain about. Walters is living proof of this.

What was up with your prerace antics mike [latemodel28],running right up to Walters bumper and then hammering the brakes and almost clipping his left rear all before the race even started.
I can assure everyone here that this comment is entirely false of Kevin. Many if not all the Late Model drivers in the pits like kevin as a competitor and as a person. Nice try though!

Yes KDR crew....you should be happy....you finally have your first championship......but make sure you thank Baker for it.........but a win is a win none the less, and I'm sure we will all remember how you got it.
I personally feel the #17 of Kevin was the better car all year long . After a few laps Saturday night ( Tom ) slid the right rear quarter into the front stretch wall , all on his own . Meanwhile Kevin was quickly making his way to the front of the pack . I still can't believe how Taylor flew through there off of turn four . It was one pretty cool and surprising win . As for Kevin , I met him for the first time Saturday night in person . I congratulated him and after speaking with him for a bit , I think he's a guy I could respectfully cheer on . I like seeing a racer who puts his Family first . Congrats to all the division winners in points and all the drivers who put on a show that brings me out each week ....Thanks!!!
