Leaving the track Saturday I was honestly happy for Kevin and all the 17 team and right up until today when I saw the cableguy pictures from Saturday. The picture I'm referring to is the one where baker (who doesn't deserve to even be thought of as a racecar driver after his actions on Saturday) has Walter pressed up against the concrete and the entire KDR crew cheering in the infield. What happened to the day where people loved racing for the racing? I have lost a lot of respect for the entire team and i hope that they enjoy spending $50,000 on winning a $13,000 championship by default. Congrats guys!!!!

Im sorry. I really am. I was cheering because I dont like Tom as a driver. But when I realized he was hurt, I stopped. Everyone did. Everyone knew it was gonna happen, but I didnt expect it to be that catostrophic or to hurt Tom. I wanted to see him maybe bounce off the wall and knock his toe in so hes not as fast. Not rush him into the wall. Also, on a side note, KDR is not the only one cheering, most of the infield was. But when everyone realized he was hurt, they stopped and felt really bad. Even Baker. So Im sorry you lost all respect you had for us. And I know we won from a wreck not racing, but when the wreck happened, Kevin was 4-5 positions ahead of Tom and was moving forward. I myself would have loved to see the two finish it on the track, but it didnt work out that way. Maybe this can salvage some respect that you had for us. But it is what it is.
I also would like to wish Tom a speedy recovery. I hope to see him and his crew next year as it doesnt sound like Tom will be back next week
Yes KDR crew....you should be happy....you finally have your first championship......but make sure you thank Baker for it.........but a win is a win none the less, and Im sure we will all remember how you got it.
Its people like you that ruin it. Since your a hardcore Tommy fan, how many championships has he won from rain outs or wrecking the leader in points? I dont know cause I dont care. He wins because he wins. And Kevin won because he won. period.
