That sure is a pretty Horton's car. But then again c'mon out and show me one that isn't. It is a travelling series that grows at it's own pace without upsetting it's chemistry. Have you ever dropped by and tried to talk to one of the teams?
You will not only get a warm welcome you will get invited to check out the car and all of your questions answered. Come by the #21 and put your kids in the car for a pic or 2 and some autographs and maybe even some sweet treats. And not just the #21 allows for this. Any and all of them are just as warm and friendly. Our 5th season and the reason we have not moved on is the strength of the series developed by the competitiveness and commaradary of everyone involved from the drivers all the way up to the co-ordinator/owners. Where else can you race so hard and have so much fun?
Costs are kept in check pretty well.
A motor rebuild might cost you 4,000.00 and and it will last 2 seasons for sure and 3 or even 4 for some. This will be our 3rd year on the motor we are starting out with this year. It is still strong. You can tell that it has loosened. But just like the old Chevy 283s they seem to really crank when they are on their last legs. So we are prepared with a back-up and I still bet this one makes it thru the season again.
You can otherwise run for under 5,000.00 season.
Parts are easily accessible and reasonably inexpensive.
Grab one of these for around 15-k used and you will only spend 1/4 as much as you would on a late model should you run for 3 seasons and you will still sell out for what you paid. Not to mention at 1.10 per gallon you might burn 3 gallons a night and feel like you are riding a nitrous rocket. So next time you are around the pit area take a close look at all of our faces.
"JUST IMAGINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Cheers
